Sunday, July 7th, we went to our son's house for a little cookout. Since Annie's ears have been doing so well, I took the posts out to kind of show her ears off a little. 
I brought all my posting material with me in the event that they started to fall. But the whole time we were there, about 4 hours, they were great! 
And I didn't have to put them in until we got home and were going to bed. 
And she got her first bath, actually, a shower, before we left for our son's house! My husband was still outside and I was going to go in the shower so I took Annie in our bathroom with me to keep an eye on her. I was watching her and thinking, Hmm, I wanted to give her a little bath the other day. So why not now while I'm in the shower?
We have a shower with in additional handheld shower head with a extra long cord that we added purposely to bathe our Doberman.
So I called Annie over to me and she was curious to get in the shower, drinking the water and such. I slowly close the door thinking at any moment she was going to freak knowing she's trapped but she didn't! So I turned on the water very slowly and the whole time lots of baby talk and excitement. Showing her that she can drink the water and "doesn't have feel great?" and all kinds of niceties! LOL She never acted scared, never tried to get away, nothing. She just let me soap her up and rinse her off and it was wonderful! I couldn't believe it. I was really happy about that! Not only that she was clean to go out to somebody's house but that it was her first time and it went so well. She looked so fresh and clean and her coat looked fabulous!
She enjoys the children so much! She wanted to run with them and play all the time. Our son's oldest boy is 13 and very big on weight lifting and track. The kid has a six pack like you wouldn't believe!
He was in track for the first time in the spring and did very well. Being one of the fastest. Well, he was curious if he could outrun Annie. I said, I'm not sure. Go ahead and try it. She's dying to go running. So he had her on the long line and took off with her and was doing pretty well. But on the way back, as you'll see in the video, she must have clipped his foot and she tripped him! 
But he did pretty well and so did she. She really enjoyed running around with the kids and was hard to hold back. Here's a couple of screenshots off that video too.

And this is my son coming back from the barn in the background. He had gone out there and when he was coming back Annie started barking at him like he was some newcomer. She raised the hair on her back and kept barking until he started talking. Then she was like, Oh, I know you! And was all play bow! It was pretty funny. She even does that with my husband sometime. She doesn't see somebody for a short period and she thinks its somebody new! Stranger Danger!
I didn't bring her calming bed but I did bring another bed just so she can be outside and lay down somewhere comfortable. She did finally fall asleep after the kids wore her out a little bit.
We took my pickup truck this time and put her in the backseat. I had to keep her from trying to come forward with us but otherwise she traveled very well.
So all in all it was a fun day and she did very good for a first big outing!
