Frequency of feeding.

Ragnar- 11months

Three times day. Could do two times day but wife works from home and she enjoys being the center of his attention with me not being around. What he will do for a bowl of food is hilarious.

Kibble- TOTW Southwest Canyon Wild Boar.

Jasmine- 14 weeks

4 times a day rationed out then given from a XL Kong (gotta get that mental exercise).

Kibble- NutriSource Large Breed Puppy. Planning to switch her TOTW Wetlands Roasted Fowl and Sweet Potato when she's around 10-11 months.

Twice a day. 5:00 am and 5:00 pm fed 3x’s until about 6-7 months then switced back to twice a day. Diamond Extreme Athlete and Vertex

Twice a day raw diet with blended supplements and one raw egg a day.

Bacall gets 2lbs in morning and 1.5lbs in evening. Weight 74lbs.

Bogie get 2lbs in morning and 2lbs in evening. Weight 79-80lbs.

Midday they get a blend of mashed banana, blueberry, kale and squash frozen into cubes.

How active are your dogs?

Very. We walk 2 miles at daybreak. Bike another couple miles, swim and paddle board and do training daily. Plus all their wrestling and playing with each other during the day.

Ah gotcha, I’m trying to gauge my dudes feeding in the future. I plan on moving to one meal a day with a snack.

Using all this info to see if I can do it and such.

And 1.5 pounds works for him?
For a normal day yes - 1 hr leashed walk, ball or frisbee in the yard for 40 mins. Mental games with treats for 20 mins.

Additional items include a banana PB and flax kong or 12" bully stick.

For days with hikes or off leash time, he gets 2 lbs (the extra half pound in the evening as he is very hungry then) and few treats as he doesn't need more mental stimulation.

Every day is supplemented with a liver based glucosamine plus his probiotic and frozen veggie and fruit cubes. The extras amount to quite a few calories.

His body condition right this minute :D Ribs are barely visible when he stands.

What, that's all?
Between exercising them and working on different jobs, that’s all I can handle.
I try to wind down at the end of the day and their final swim but they are ready to do it all again. That’s when I will do nose work with them.

This is why I don’t have pet sitters or dog walkers...they would not be able to handle all their activity requirements.
The one thing that really tires them out the most is walking in the rain. They have to think about what they are doing with the rain pounding down on them. :D

Ah gotcha, a lot of calories are in the treats.

I’m feeding 3 pounds a day right now, along with a 4-8oz snack of fatty ground beef mid day and that’s barely keeping him content. He has hunger barfs once in awhile.

I could not do that lol. If I tried doing that and with my work I’d probably die lmao. Most of our training involves me being stationary while I throw something, hold his leash while he bites something or mental stimulation/learning with me walking. (Obedience training) lol.
