Ear posting progress and yet another question!

I may have to have Zippos tail re done, while doing that, is it too late to trim some of the Bell off of his ears at the same time?

I personally wouldn't since it isn't excessive and he will grow into the ears more yet.

Forget what anyone else thinks - do YOU like his ears how they are? Really think about it. I mean, reallyyyyy think about it. Are outside influences conjuring up in the back of your mind and making you think his ears need to be trimmed?

That said - personally, I wouldn't trim or correct a dock at this point unless it was truly needed because it was bothersome to the dog. While considered a "simple" surgery, it is still a surgery that requires anaesthesia and thus has risks. I try to have my dogs put under as few times as possible in life. Which sometimes means none as I don't neuter.

You're 110% right. Thank you for this.

I totally agree with @Regalis. And something else to consider is you would have to find an extremely skilled cropping vet that would be willing to do this type of re-crop. I know my breeder drove over four hrs for this litters' crops and some of her prior litters she flew them out of state for cropping.
