ear cropping vet /style recommendation

Hello everyone hope yall had an amazing Christmas with your Dobie's!


My pup will be delivered soon, I would like to get ears done, I prefer long show crop, I do have an experience in posting the ears and so on! My vet told me that she wont do show crops on European Dobermans because it wont stand erect, have you guys ever heard of it?

My pups Dam is half Euro and half American, so is that a bad idea to have show crop?

ALSO, WHAT VETS U GUYS RECOMMEND IN NY/NJ/PA/CT AREA?

Usually, the ear leather on a Euro dobe tends to be a bit thicker. Maybe that's why the vet doesn't recommend going too long.

Make sure you use a vet that knows what they are doing and does what you want….

Been 3-4 new members coming on recently not being happy at all with what the vet did. And once surgery happens, it’s over and done with.

It’s really best to get your pup already cropped from the breeder.

Our black Dobe, Dauntless is a Euro with a long show crop. Her ears stand beautifully, the posting time is longer however, but is certainly doable!
