My older girl is almost 3 years old and i would like to get her tested for DCM what kind of tests should be done for DCM? Please guide me on this one

Typically an echo and holter monitoring are a good place to start. Many of us also do an Embark DNA test to tell which genes they carry for it.

Embark is also accurate ? and advised to do ?
Yes, it tells you if your dog carries one or two copies or none of the markers for DCM1 and 2. However there are more markers out there that we have yet to discover and a dog can be negative for both and still develop DCM or positive for both and die of something else. It is a good idea to do if you are wanting to be a breeder for the future of the breed.

Otherwise, I would primarily focus on yearly holter and echos starting at 2 years old. The doberman diversity project has a discount on holter rental if you do the embark test and submit the info to them. You can also typically rent one through your local dpca chapter club. If you purchased from a reputable breeder and they have one of their own, you may be able to rent one from your breeder.

At this point tests are only accurate for that moment. They haven't found all the markers to get any real answers from DNA tests. IMHO, it's still good to do for research purposes. The more info we have the closer to answers we get. 😉

There is no guarantee since DCM affects 60% or more of the Breed. There are Dobes still getting DCM that test Neg. for the DCM1 (PDK4) and DCM2 Genes.
Reading Pedigrees is important.

Early testing is about the only thing we have and to catch this disease in its Occult Stage with no symptoms.
Testing starting at 2yrs old and combining an Echo and 24hr Holter yearly up until 5yrs old. Then starting at 5yrs still Echo but Holter 2x's a year.

You can check out some dog clubs in your area. Some will have Echo Health Clinics.

Also, can rent a Holter from North Carolina State Vet School Cardio Department.

I call Doberman Diversity project for 3 days now no one picks up, are they even legit ?
They are legit but I'm not sure if anyone actively monitors a phone. Have you tried their Facebook page?

Our Minnesota Doberman rescue rents holters for $50 and I'm on the list for one so maybe there's a rescue in your area that does that too?
