Blue Doberman troubleshooting

So he is around 4months old?

Yes, I see no reason why you can’t wait another week. Teething starts around 4months and usually extends through 6months. He looks to have a short crop so it’s easier and less of a worry tbh.

You are wrapping his head in gauge and then taping over that to provide a supportive structure for the ear tape to anchor on?

I like the way you are thinking but I don’t think the head wrap is necessary.

Be careful using that grey duct tape, it can be pretty harsh directly on the ear.

What are you using for posts?

Gotta give you credit for posting on your own, I think you are doing a great job bringing those ears back from the initial severe wounds.

I only posting because I thought that if I was to wait longer his ears would stay In the way they are now. I’m not very familiar with all the time specifications on healing and posting.

For the posting what I did was on the inside layer of skin on his ear I put a couple pieces of breathable sports tape as my base layer and then a pice of duct tape. Then I put a tube of hot glue for post, and put a spots of hot glue on the stick and to the tape for ear stability. The gauze around his head and on the lower ear is to keep the post sticks from poping off when he shakes his head

I can wait on the posting for another week if you guys think it best. I was honestly considering waiting another week but I wasn’t too sure if I had time for ear correction

As long as they're already posted, you can leave them in as long as everything looks okay. When you do take them out you can evaluate then and if they're still not ready, you can wait a bit. He seems to be a slow healer so it might be best to do something like this though.

Good afternoon everybody
Just finished giving my boy a shower, took his posts out and thoroughly cleaned his ears. Let me know what you guys think. I’m honesty quite impressed with how it’s turning out

As @JanS said, post until all the permanent teeth are in and then some. With your shorter crop it shouldn't be much longer than that. Your posting job is looking really good - don't stop yet!
