Tips for maintaining healthy skin and coat in blue Doberman puppy?

Hi everyone! I’m a long time Doberman lover. I had one when I was younger. It’s been awhile, but now that my triplets are older (10) and they wanted a dog I decided to get another one. We ended up finding a local breeder on the AKC website and they had 2 pups left from recent litters. One was a blue male, and the other was a fawn male. I got the blue one and then I learned of all the skin issues they could face after. He went in for his ear crop today (he is 12 weeks and 2 days old) and I’m a bit nervous. I am feeding him Purina Pro Plan Puppy Sport 30/18, and adding an omega 3 salmon oil. His coat is very shiny.❤️ I also bought the 8 in one multivitamin by zesty paws, zesty paws hip and joint bites (vet strength) with glucosamine and , and Nutritiona Strength zinc complex for dogs that has biotin. I know I can’t prevent CDA but I’m doing all I can to maintain healthy skin. Any other recommendations? The puppy w the cropped ears is the picture I gave the vet to off of on the crop. The vet said it’s a show crop (I thought it was a medium crop) and that they should stand if I post even if done at 12 weeks. Any tips or advice will be appreciated. Oh I also am giving him the sure grow supplement recommended by breaded.IMG_2097.webp

Both blues and fawns can have skin issues since they are dilutes. I've never had either color so I can't give any advice there.

I'd call that a longer medium crop but as long as you're faithful about posting after they're healed, you should be able to get them to stand nicely.

I'm confused....the pup with the cropped ears looks black? Is it just the lighting? I see the blue in the first photo....would love to see more of your new one!

I can tell you what I did with my fawn girl but I can't say it will help your boy. I kept her clean but didn't use regular shampoo. I rinsed her with vinegar and then sprayed her with water that I mixed a calendula oil in. I used a zoom groom when bathing her and well as brushing her.
A good quality food is a must because all the crap fillers can cause skin problems.
Check into a veterinary dermatologist because they can be a help with the latest treatments. They were experimenting with higher doses of vitamin A but I wouldn't do that without a vet's supervision because you could cause more problems than you bargined for.
Also sunscreen is a MUST! I think I talked about that in your other thread.
This is my girl. She's 10 in this pic and had CDA. You can't ask for a better coat than that for a dilute
