4 Year Old Intact Male - Marking Everything

we have the same problem with our intact male…
He marks the exact same spots every day…
The Bar, the Elliptical and the back corner of the second couch he has chewed apart (another post).
I mop them up and he marks them.
He also marks the palm trees in the front yard, and the Blackstone, Smoker and Tool/Rub chest in the backyard…
Everyday, multiple times!!!
Wow. 😳 How old is your boy? I've had two male Dobermans for 10 and 13 years and never had that happen in my house. That's awful! I agree about the belly band but that also seems like it could be trained out. If it's been going on for a very long time it's going to be a very long time to train that out too. As for eating the couch, my goodness! I would be gating him off of that area or something. It's not something you should have to put up with.

I absolutely hate it but he’s a gorgeous pure bred pup that is otherwise very well trained and I can’t give up on him.
There is absolutely no reason to give up on him! Marking indoors and tearing up furniture are behaviors that can be managed and trained. That's what I meant when I said it doesn't have to be tolerated. With this much habit ingrained for so long, it will take a lot of dedication, but that's on you. Your dog will continue this behavior as long as you allow it.
