Well damn…ole boy became very judgmental there didn’t he?
Did he not read her responses to us inquiring if she has/is putting in the work, time and energy?
I see now see the full picture she has painted and agree with a lot of our post/advice.
@Renzo Red
Keep doing what you are doing with the training- you are doing some really good stuff!
Continue with that but I would start devoting a lot of time on training an “off button”. My first did not have one and I did not properly train one- huge mistake. Do what they recommended with leashing him and making him sit/down/calm next to you. I would tie a short leash to my belt buckle and make him control and adhere the entire time- reward with food (breakfast and lunch and dinner)- (I still feed mine 3x day, it decreases risks of bloat).
I really like your resiliency and commitment to Renzo. Because of his previous situation he is probably developmentally delayed in many aspects of mental/social behavior. Not that it’s horrible, he may be just delayed and requires extra time and work…and remember he is a male and I know for a fact that my male matured way later than my female.
Keep doing what you are doing….you weather the storm and train an off button and he will be golden.
