I do agree if I move into an apartment it wouldn’t be the best choice for him and I would definitely leave him with my parents. And he would be loved and cared for with my parents. They also live on a property with over 45 acres next to the San Pedro River.
But my boyfriend and I are looking...
So this post might be a little more depressing than it needs to be. I feel horrible about all of this and just need to vent it out.
So I live out in a rural area, next to a river that’s highly trafficked by coyotes. And since I moved here four years ago, I’ve lost um... Two cats, MJ and Felix...
Been dead for quite a while, I apologize for that. Working on moving, continuing college and working a part-time job. Difficult to do with five pets.
I don’t have a ton of updated images of Logan. But there’s a few.
His behavior has improved a ton, though, I will admit he was lunged at by a lab...
Okay, well about that balding patch on Logan a few weeks ago, a few more have appeared. I’ve followed the advice given for supplements and his coat has gotten shinier, but he still has tons of dandruff and welts forming in a few places.
I don’t know if they’re mosquito bites (he’s on HartGuard)...
No, it’s not. But this morning I noticed another spot on his back. I don’t know if it could’ve been a tick or something that bit him, but it seems to only be on his right side.
Yeah, it wasn’t noticeable at first until I saw him in the sun and it was noticeably thinner than the rest of his fur, and he’s developed a small spot on it.
So along with a trick class every Saturday, I’ve started taking Logan on runs every day. It’ll take some time for us to get into shape, especially my other dog, Wade, but we’ll get there.
We’re also going to Wyoming for a couple of weeks, so expect pictures of him there with his shoes and...
Recently someone suggested I give Logan Vitamin E and Fish Oil, or just give him Sardines about once or twice a week instead of just coconut oil. Just wondering about anyone’s opinion on that. His skin is still dry, I mean we are in Arizona, but now he seems a bit itchy/ has thinning fur one his...
Actually, yeah. One of the older cats, Pinky, isn’t a big fan of him. But it’s mostly just things like growling or swatting at him. And we separated him from Wade, who can be rather dominating and possessive over his food or toys sometimes. He hasn’t been around him for a few months now other...
Usually I try to just move on, but sometimes he’s gets a stubborn streak and doesn’t want to move on from it. Then I usually tempt him with treats or a toy.
He’s about 15 months old now. He was in obedience classes for 12 weeks and the trainer suggested I join her tricks class. His first day...
Well, I’m back again.
I ended up going with an easywalk harness, and he’s actually doing good with it. He’s also gotten over the whining after we changed his food around and gave him a couple of new toys.
But I’m having a problem with major anxiety with him. His fear ranges from “oh that makes...
He is pooping but it’s a little bit loose. Maybe he just ate something bad I don’t know. But I can get him checked. He is due for his yearly check anyway I believe.
He’s gained a little extra weight mostly around his hips and ribs. I know you’re supposed to be able to feel a little bit of the ribs, but I can’t at all.
And I usually try to ignore it but it’s a little difficult for me.
Hi I’m back again.
The last few days I’ve noticed that Logan endlessly paces around the room and only stops every few minutes to cry. He’s never shown signs of anxiety before but I know it’s possible that he developed from something. He’ll also wake up in the morning to cry to go out, only to...
I carry treats around with me. It’s Pet Botanics but I also use Retreiver Naturals sometimes. I give him a lot of affection/praise.
I do clicker training and he has obedience classes every Saturday.
Hey, so this may not be in the right place, but does anyone know any tips on leash training? I’ve tried the “stop and stand still and treat when there is slack on the leash”, treating when he looks at me, change directions and other things. My problem is that Logan is about my weight, about 10...
