When I arrive home from work today he was a different dog.. energy was up. And he came running to the door to greet me .. on all 4 legs like he usually does.
Very odd
Well the positive news is he has shown some decent improvement overnight, he has been walking on it again, still a limp, but yesterday he wouldn't even touch it to the ground. I had to carry him out for bathroom breaks.
Still warrants a trip to the vet, unless when i get home he is by some...
It feels warm if I touch the top side of the paw.
It is odd that it seems to have come up sort of slowly... I just am terrified if something is torn.
he does t want me to touch the area between the fingers and the wrist
so upsetting
Also to add when u had him out for a pee when he came in I was able to ask for a shake a paw and he is able to lift the leg. He can bend the 'wrist' on his own.
I know it will be tough to answer.. but while I wait..
My boy has came up with a lame front paw. It was gradual a very minor limp one day went to a little limp and today he is reluctant to touch it to the ground.
I dont see any wounds. There is a small abrasion around his nail but he gets that...
It seems slow but with the change of diet and added some fish oil, he seems to be less irritated. Winter time is always dry skin time. It looks to not be as raw now and hair is coming back.
Will keep updated.
Thanks again all
Just a quick one. I recently found out one of my boys siblings, same parents but different litter. Has passed due to GDV / Bloat. He was younger than my guy.
Does this run in bloodlines? Should I be worried?
Hello all,
This has been great to read. Apparently for a long time we had him on Salmon and rice, and i subscribed for auto delivery to my house and got chicken. mind you that has been for the better part of a year now. But i quickly picked up a bag of salmon and rice and he is on that now. We...
Well Im expecting my first Human baby in a few short weeks.
ANy tips?
My dog is fine around children, loves the sitting there and getting pet by children infact.
He is gentle with my cats.
A bit 'forward' or overzealous with the tongue and sniffing.
He can definitely sense something is about to...
Honestly not too bad. Just let him sniff them then slowly worked up to wearing them while eating and then on leash walks. I still only leave them on while he is on long line or leash. But by the summer time I think he will be comfortable
Hello,
Just thought I would share these with you all. Im sure some of you have seen or even have these but I bought them in a size XL for my guy. He adjusted well and seems to be fine wearing them.
I love the way they look on him and also when he is running like a fool through the bushes, his...
Hello
I have a 2 year old Doberman. He is a family pet, no training i protection.
I have been his main 'friend' we dont have friends or neighbours with dogs I would trust around him.
I spent a lot of time to train him to be calm and play nice and be super friendly.
I have no issues with the kids...
Oh i stop it immediately, no doubt there. Super embarrassed. He was doing so well earning my trust in the park recently I thought 2 years old all my hard work training is laying off. Then we let each other down. Me by not spotting the other dog and being prepared and him for ignoring me
Hello,
I have a 2 year old Male. I am wondering if I should now get him neutered. When out he always sniffs stuff and then gets really stuck on spots to the point he gets all.drooling and his mouth starts to chatter. We don't interact with a lot of other dogs, but tonight while.i was playing...
