What formula of PPP? Maybe consider changing proteins. Could potentially be a food allergy or intolerance.
Have you had his thyroid checked?

I'm guessing it is a food allergy and in part it could be an environmental allergy this time of year. Our boy used to get some sparse spots of hair near his tail in the winter.

Hello all,
This has been great to read. Apparently for a long time we had him on Salmon and rice, and i subscribed for auto delivery to my house and got chicken. mind you that has been for the better part of a year now. But i quickly picked up a bag of salmon and rice and he is on that now. We shall see how that goes. Will also research some fish oil for extra omegas as some had suggested. Not sure what yet but will research it.

I give mine a can (3.5 - 4 ounce can) of sardines (packed in water) once a week. Probably have only missed 5 or 6 "fish Fridays" in her 2 years. Can't say for sure if it's the reason, but she's never had any skin problems whatsoever and stays very shiny. Keep us posted if the change of diet helps.
