Lol @Gelcoater
Is that artificial turf? Looks very realistic.
First thing Bonnie wants to do after a hike is jump out of car and run across road to neighbors house to rub her neck in the turf...🤣
Its like catnip how she gets the zoomies after!
Whats up with that?
Wow! Yes I have watched all of that.
There are two or three in the cast in AK.

Admire them all for living their adventures!
Thanks @Ravenbird for this...my lightbulb is glowing weakly but this visual of "genetics" vs "genomics" is a good explanation for me, and I'm so glad to see independent thinking in the hunting breeds where big money demands field performance.
What exact source do you recommend "on the UC Davis...
Thanks! @Nordika
Have you met anyone there in your area with Howavart dogs?
Did you see the reference earlier in this thread to a NY area breeder?
This breed from Germany bred as all around family/guard/hunting dogs reminds me of some of the dogs you see mixed into sled dogs in the shows on...
Beautiful country!
Its on my bucket list to drive up from Lower 48 and just wander around camping, taking it all in.
Many places only accessible by ferry or floatplanes. Magnificent last frontier.
BTW There is another user here who lives in that area I believe @chilkat ? Or was that the other...
Thanks @Rits for infodog tip!
Socal now but moving to FL, where tbd.
I'll be reading up on pedigrees and such in the meantime but not doing a serious search until settled 18 months most likely.
Lol..."redrum!"
Somewhere I read that deer are most expanding into suburban species...
Cant find it but any search engine will bring up numerous explanations...
I was back home in Far-North-of-Normal for awhile helping care take of my Mom, and walking miles for exercise- the urban deer in parks...

Food debates are second only to crop vs dock which are second only to "positive only"...and can get "spicey"...😉
I do notice that There are a LOT of people feeding raw,
but if it were me on a puppy, and want to be safe, I'd cook...
Thanks. When the time comes I'll be prepared to travel cross country for the right dog.
"Seeing a show in the area" is the advice fI have taken to mean: "how to get an idea of the show or trial culture, people, the whole scene"etc. Even if a dobe breeder is not attending, it could be...
Great link.
Quick impressions, with facts to be verified by anyone shopping for this breeders dogs.
1.Seems to be 3 litters going at same time, with no explanation of staffing for the key early human socialization in puppy stage thats so helpful for temperament, confidence.

To fellow dog nerds and those who like to research complicated things, like dobermans...
And in Re: good tip read here- "go visit a show dog" show to check out the "fancy", maybe see who is doing well, collect biz cards or contact info...
People are busy at these shows but if they can connect...
A sunny clear hot and humid mid day so we went SD practicing at the mall.
"Socialization", distractions, working the basics and all that...she is an old pro and this is a favorite place as she gets bonus treated with mini hot dogs sliced...she jumps to perform tasks and sometimes "volunteers"...
$1150 here two years ago on basic spay. This in n San Diego county with indy vet who we've been very happy with for 20 years. I did price shop to say I did and that was in the same to slightly higher elsewhere range inc a past dobe breeder/crop vet.
I'm sure its much higher now at a VCA or...
Thats a bummer! I wonder how they pick which calls to show under the species. There were several from East Coast but only one in CA for the red tailed. I used to save "my birds" but quit when the app glitched and I lost my account.
lots of hawks in a couple places we hike. Hard to tell the red shouldered from red tailed st a distance, until you hear the call- kee-kee-kee by red shouldered vs skreeee!!! Louder and harsher by red tailed.
Anyone use the Merlin Bird app? Its fun, and really educational.
Tip: you can play...
Well I for one will be sorry to see you go, as I think you bring some info to the table.
Nobody asked me...but
From one hard head to another:
You do need to tone it down, imho
and
your tone deafness on that is leading me to question your stated devotion to dogs.
You are also not representing...
