I really like this.I have no doubt with some work and time he'll be saying Hey! What am I doing? This is where I wanna be! That's an appealing trait of a dobie. They fin their person and that's where they want to be!
I've never had a rescue dog before and didn't know how wonderful it is to see them experience things for the first time!
It's VERY rewarding isn't it? I have a little girl here now named Sheila. She was found in the woods and not far away from the highway a busted crate was found. It was assumed that someone just pitched her in her crate while driving down the highway. She's been at the rescue for almost a year and it's been decided she is ready for a home. I brought her home for a trial and to see how she does in a home environment. So far it's going really well. But to see her live her best dog life, running like the wind, smelling new things and just rolling in the grass has kept me in happy tears this week. She has discovered she LOVES people beds.I've never had a rescue dog before and didn't know how wonderful it is to see them experience things for the first time!

I had forgotten that you were involved with a rescue group. I admire you for that and I'm glad there are wonderful moments as it must be heartbreaking a lot of the time. And it's a big YES from Clancy too on the people bed! It's VERY rewarding isn't it? I have a little girl here now named Sheila. A huge percentage works out so the good definitely out weighs the bad.I'm glad there are wonderful moments as it must be heartbreaking a lot of the time.
Was going to saySome fun out on the long lineView attachment 161593View attachment 161594View attachment 161592Things Clancy now knows.
1:- How to make eye contact when asking for something
2:- Sitting automatically when waiting for leash and when asking for something
3:- Meaty bones are good
4:- A bed in front of the fire is good
5:- A blanket on at night is good!!!
Isn't he only about a year old? Could be some of his drives just haven't kicked in yet or he hasn't had an opportunity to develop them. That nose to ground looks like something may be starting to stir.He seems to have little or no prey drive

His silhouette in that 3rd pic reminds of some breed that just won't come to mind. It's right on the tip of my tongue but I just can't think of it. Can someone help?
Are you going to do a DNA test for fun? I just love his look and his eyes in that middle picture are striking! The back shape is typical of most sighthounds.he could have a real mix of everything.
