We said so long for now yesterday. I told him he needs to go run with Daisy now.
We had someone come to the house to put him to sleep, some of you know how he really didn't like car travel.

He had been having some bad days. I told myself some time ago when his bad days started out numbering the good it was time, and that time came.
We brought him home in December of 2013, he was 20 months old at that time.
so much i could say about him i could probably write a book, perhaps I may one day.

Going to miss this guy, the house seems incomplete without him. We are sad he is gone, and we have had some great adventures together.
Knowing it was going to happen was perhaps harder than when Daisy went from DCM, here one minute and gone the next, however it allowed us time to prepare for it, and spoil him rotten with doughnuts and treats.
we spent a fair part of the day out back in the sunshine which was always his favorite place to be.

Thank you Jan, and the staff here for providing a place to share him with the community all these years, and to all the members here who share the joy of owning this breed.

Oh no, I'm so very sorry! He had the best life with you and blessed you for many years so it's great you recognized when he was telling you it was time. Remember the good times you've had and remember that he will always be watching over you.

Run free handsome Rocky... :sorrow:

You loved Rocky and Rocky loved you. It's the entire story of how our lives with our dogs works out. I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm so happy he had you in his life. 💔

I’m so sorry, but I know Rocky had the best life with his family.
The loss is beyond words and now he can be reunited with Daisy and all the other Dobermans and other dogs running and playing without pain or darkness.
It takes a loving heart to know when to let them go in spite of that heart breaking from the loss.
Run fast, jump fences and play with all your buddies Rocky.
R.I.P.

Farewell Rocky. He had a great life and was greatly loved. I remember being amazed how he still played ball into his old age and still had a sense of fun. Wishing you all peace.

Shoot. Saw the name Rocky, then saw the word I didn't want to see: Memorials.

So sorry man. He lived to a grand old age and gave and received the best of companionship.

Reach out to me if you want, bro.

Oh Gel. 😥 Another heartbreak. I feel your pain. Saying goodbye is so hard! I'm so sorry! Crying with you.

Run free, Rocky!

Was a somewhat difficult day today.
I let the boss know what was going on and that I wouldnt be in Monday and made no promise to be there all week.
I went today, and apparently the boss had told a couple of the guys why I wasnt there.
As I walked in a guy Chris walked up and said how sorry he was about what was going on. He's a guy I have know 35 years or more, worked for him at his shop in the early 2000s, I know his whole family, mom included and have had great vacation experiences over the years. It caught me a bit off guard, almost leaked some water from my eyes.
Coming home from work was strange, only Millie greeting me at the door. As I walked into the house its I guess a habit to look over to Rocky's spot, another lump in the throat.

Thank you to the members showing support, sympathy and empathy, it really does mean a lot.

Brought me to tears to see a love lost.... we all definatley know what you are going through....so very very sorry. Great photos, thank you for sharing his life with us!
