Thanks. Since I'm kind of a noob I'm asking typical noob questions for the benefit of others who moght be lurking here but too shy to ask. But willing to go to the stufy and offer to play.
Since this is sponsored by DPCA I'd assume it comes from a show perspective, and its assumed one with experience in show would know. And explain a little further:
dpca.org
Is there a typical format, how to take the video?
"something from the side, from the rear, at which kinds of gaits?"
Like what the judges manual might define?
I notice they are requesting purebred submissions but ok if no pedigree.
So just for the heck of it, I'd consider a submission IF results were shared back with donors in an expeditious manner.
I'm guessing there would be a LOT of show dog owners and breeders offering up the samples and video, so I'll defer to that but wait for awhile, see if a call for more is posted.
I did share Embark DNA both to Cornell automatically as per TOS on that tools collaboration,
And later sent raw data to U Utrecht for their request on data on dobes copper studies underway, per a suggestion on the DDP.
Have not heard back on U of MN request for their call for input to their multiple ??? survey, iirc to be a 4000 dobe longitudinal study over ten years, but not expecting to- I think they want dogs that can be tied to pedigrees, which makes sense.
I'm a dog nerd, and if I'm going to expect "the fancy" to step up, as DPCA is here, for the benefit of the breed, then I ought to do my little part, from the peanut gallery...
