Taken quite awhile ago. The English Bulldog was a rehome from a friend of my daughters. He was small, 50 pounds, and a crack up. He and Lucky were best buddies. Harley the EB, passed away when he was 10. Harley was very athletic, and active, all muscle. Lucky, the other dog in the photo, is still kicking, though I don't think he will make it till Autumn.

Yep, they do just fine. If Katyusha feels that Zastava is getting too much the upper hand on our guest too much during wrestling, she will go bite Zastava's back leg to give her some distraction, but nothing has ever been more than playing. We have had Dutchess for a week one other time and that went equally well.

Edit to add: Dutchess is one of about 7 Dobermans that get together frequently in a dog park or pet store. At first it was for fun, but we quickly realized that babysitting each other's dogs goes way better when they all know each other and they all know all of the people in the group, too.

Just curious. I think Freyja inherited her overly cautious bitchiness from Ragnar. She is at guard the entire time until the other dog play bows or shows signs of no threat. If this doesn’t happen, then Freyja will not back down and continue being stoic and rude. If the other does, then she changes character immediately and starts running and playing. Unfortunately, only one or two have initially presented hands of friendship first. I really wish she was not so damn guarded with other dogs. I really miss seeing her and Ragnar romping around running like stallions…
