I was driving home the other day when I went around a corner where there was probably 15-20 turkey just walking down the middle of the street. Bringing up the rear was a huge Tom that was in no hurry to get any where. Apparently I didn't slow down fast enough and he definitely let me know I needed to slow down. Wish I had my camera ready for that look!Last week my friend was asking how wild turkeys drink since Harold has been using our bird bath as a drinking source. I took a little video for her and thought I might as well share it here too. FWIW the bird bath is close to 30" tall so it shows how big he is.
Wow! Cool pic- are these farmed elk or just passing by on the road?
LOL, Harold seems to predict the weather since he starts gobbling when a storm is coming and while it's here.I didn't slow down fast enough and he definitely let me know I needed to slow down.

Look! A mutt!odd colored junco hanging out on the deck

I didn't see it happen. But thinking back I seem to recall a 'scuffle' one dark morning taking the dogs out. Annie was running around instead of the usual 'browsing' and even with my flashlight I didn't see anything. No real marks on it so I'm assuming one good shake and it was gone.It is a Junco but the body is way browner than most of them. Maybe it's a juvie.
Hawk?I'm King of the World!!
