That level of mean is right up there with eating a pizza (while the dog watches you) and NOT giving the dog any crusts!

My husband was mowing yesterday and Annie decided to lay down in his path. My daughter is in town from Kentucky and took this photo. She said it was so funny that all you can see was her head! She looks like she's in a hole.

Moo was into it.

This is from a couple weeks ago. I think she's taken a liking to this guest room because she can creep out the window from the comfort of a mess of pillows

I was out cleaning stalls early this morning on this hot day. My husband was having coffee on the deck with Annie.

She saw me coming.

We spent the whole afternoon/evening outside yesterday because the next several days are going to be too hot to do much of anything outdoors safely

At my last shop my breakroom had really good AC and I kept it cold as hell. (or roast the room out in the winter) Had a small house sized Furnace/AC only heating and cooling a single room so it did really well and could easily keep that room COLD (or hot) no matter what temp it was elsewhere in the shop or outside.

Stuck a dog bed in there and their food bowls. Had spring hinges on the door and disabled the latch so the door could be pushed / pulled without having to use the knob / lever.

The girls could come and go from that breakroom as they pleased.

One girl out of that pair instantly claimed that dog bed and despised any sort of excessive temps in either direction. If it was not in the ballpark of 72 deg she would spend her day in the breakroom and not give a shit what me and her sister were doing out in the shop. She would come out for a pee break and then get right back in her climate controlled room and comfy dog bed.

Her sister was a Dober magnet of the highest order and would gladly suffer in the heat or cold so long as she could be next to her human.

The only time I ever looked up and did not see her somewhere close by was when it got up to a little over 105ish deg outside.

Every few hours she would head to the breakroom for a 15 to 30 min cool down and then be right back by my side.

Obviously had to keep any of her time out in the direct sun limited when it was that hot as well... The thin and short black coats on Dobermans will absorb the heck out of the heat from direct sunlight.

Pretty sure I am going to have to set up Dystopia with an AC'ed room at the big shop here pretty quick. She is a good bit older and LOT fatter and I am starting to see how uncomfortable she gets here lately in the upper 80's to mid 90's.

I do got something already on hand for her butt - just need to relocate it and set her up so she can can have a cool place to go that she can call her den.

Agatha so far does not seem bothered by higher temps.

Since she is a new 'used' dog I have no idea how she will do in the cold.

Its at least 76 in that picture and she is under her covers.

We have been playing monkey in the middle in the basement due to the extreme heat.

Pepper jumps so high to catch the ball, had to screen shot a few!

20 min of playing this and she’s done.

This morning while walking the fairgrounds, there is a dumpster that they use after events...the dogs (mostly Glory) was air sniffing as we got close, and she was whining. So I stopped, and decided not to walk past it. There was a loud 'bang' inside of it, and the dogs went nuts. We quickly went the other way. I was concerned it might be a bear with cubs in there, although it could have just been raccoons I didn't want to take any chances. Bottom photo of bear tracks is from last summer walking around there!

I thought by 6:30 pm, we could attend my oldest sons lacrosse game and survive. Pepper said no, so we sat in the car and ate ice with the AC cranked. We did a ten minute walk on the river walkway next to the fields that was enough.
