Novitiate
Hello everybody,
Introducing myself once again, I used to be under Luckyboy but lost my account. My doberman is now almost 5 years old. Recently I saw that he developed a bump on his cheek. Does any of you know what this is? I have yet to take him to the veterinarian, but I’m just curious have you guys ever experienced this see the photos. thank you so much for your time.

I agree that something might be going on in his mouth so be sure to check that. Is he eating okay?

Welcome back.

Welcome back.

I recently had one break a rear molar and it bumped up exactly like that at first... And then became a lot more swollen before I did a close teeth examination and figured it out.

At first I thought the bitch ate another wasp. I was wrong... :)

Even with that cracked molar mine never slowed down on her food intake. High threshold for pain and that sort of stuff.

Very much agree that those teeth need to be closely inspected.

How does it feel? Is it squishy, like a hematoma? If you don't see anything in the mouth, it could be caused by a bug bite of some sort....Your vet could give you an answer.

Is it painful? How fast did it grow? Is he acting normal otherwise? Is it mobile (moves under the skin). Sudden foul breath? Please let us know what your vet says!
I think it is, he moves his head when I push on it. No change in mood or behavior and eats really well. Everything else is in place, it took like a month for it to grow. Seems like it’s getting a bit bigger.

Yes, get thee to the vet. I'd ask if you could see anything on the inside of his cheek, but getting that kind of visualization is a tall order and wouldn't change that its Vet Bill time.

If it has been there a month and is getting bigger -

It is time for a Vet visit.
