Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2024

Thank you so much! He's really goofy in person lol.

He's always been very aloof when it comes to strangers and protective of me, specially around men; idk if him coming from working lines matters? But it's extremely hard to make it into his inner circle, even if he's known you for ages, he'll still be cautious and look at you dead in the eye :facepalm:unless you got food lol.

•I'm not a profesional by any means, and I use him only as a deterrent, but I taught him that whenever I say "Who's there?" He should bark and lunge at whoever I was pointing at. If I caught him growling or barking at someone "dangerous" I actually encouraged him to, and kept repeating "Who's there?" and he got it! He's not allowed to show those traits with no command given, only when I let him, he can have a growl but that's all I allow. He's not reactive at all, nor aggressive (loves greeting other dogs, even intact males) I have him under control, but he also has a bomb proof off switch command and recall; if I say "Enough Draco" he stops and just stares. I wouldn't let him act that way otherwise; then afterwards I praise him and redirect him onto his tug to let that bad energy out haha.
Sounds like Pepper lol she puts on a front and she’s a doofus behind closed doors. Spazz I should say. Haha.

Awesome! Thank you! I am not either and she’s only had puppy classes, so she and I train together everyday.

I do have “go get em” command I use at the door when I say “break” - it means go patrol the yard- she knows game on. Hackles up and alert she charges out the door. I am going to work on that with her. Thank you for the information I will be working on it with her now!

Does he deliberately flip his calming bed upside down for his pillow? Clever boy if so!
He prefers to be cooler rather than warmer and the black area is a cooler material, so I'm thinking he flips it over for that reason. Most times when he sleeps in it, he'll sleep on the black side.
Just in one room, I see 3 beds to choose from. Spoiled boy!!
Anything to keep him settled down! 😆
So ... Dingo went into her crate with her foot bandage last night and came out without it this morning. Cost of bandage: $78. Cost of vet visit to recover it (puke session): $214. Cost of her comfort: priceless.

Lesson confirmed: insurance
Oh no! Is she wearing another bandage now or are you letting her paw be free and open?

She's back to being nakey! It was really just to stop the bleeding. We have been putting her on a tie out when we go outside so she doesn't do something dumb and start bleeding everywhere but we went on our normal walk yesterday and she's been totally fine!

Notice the missing nail? I've been calling her Stubs. And I know, I know: her nails are way past due for a grind. They were past due Wednesday when everything happened but now that missing nail really makes me squeamish. I will overcome it in the next couple days!

It's like she's flipping us the bird 😂

You know how quick I had to be to catch these pictures? This happens so many times and it always looks so cute that I want to get a picture. But half the time, by the time I run from my phone, the moment is lost. Got it this time. 😁

Kali was just laying in her calming bed sleeping. My husband was going outside and he bends down to tie his boots. I couldn't believe it when I saw her stretch and get up and sneak over to him to do this.

Hey, you down here for me??

That's so sweet @MyBuddy !!

Got through nail day without spending too much time on/around Stubs stub toe. It appears she's licked all the hair off so there's no hiding it. Smaller image in case it gives other people "icks," too. Ok, I think I've exhausted posting about this

It warmed up and the sun is out so I went out with the camera and I actually caught both of them. LOL

I really love it! It's such a unique area and I miss it! Thanks! Pepper is so cute, too!
It really is and one of the reasons why we stick around here.

Thanks! She’s wild today haha, something back in the woods had her fired up. There have been coyote sightings so maybe 🤷‍♀️

Did some hiking at my favorite park today!

Remy & I hung out while my sister and her boyfriend fished after our hike.

At the second fishing spot, Remy says it’s boring 😂IMG_0547.jpeg

Took Remy downtown. We walked in the park, went to a store and got lunch! Totaled a little over 3 miles.

He’s the king of splooting lol. A lot of the employees stopped to pet him and complement how well behaved he was 🥰.

Waiting until the table while we ate.

Really cool spot where we had lunch, sort of like an outdoor food court. There’s an area with some grass and chairs in the middle too. IMG_7876.jpeg
Some pictures of the park. I love that it’s right in the middle of the city.
