Sounds like Pepper lol she puts on a front and she’s a doofus behind closed doors. Spazz I should say. Haha.Thank you so much! He's really goofy in person lol.
He's always been very aloof when it comes to strangers and protective of me, specially around men; idk if him coming from working lines matters? But it's extremely hard to make it into his inner circle, even if he's known you for ages, he'll still be cautious and look at you dead in the eye unless you got food lol.
•I'm not a profesional by any means, and I use him only as a deterrent, but I taught him that whenever I say "Who's there?" He should bark and lunge at whoever I was pointing at. If I caught him growling or barking at someone "dangerous" I actually encouraged him to, and kept repeating "Who's there?" and he got it! He's not allowed to show those traits with no command given, only when I let him, he can have a growl but that's all I allow. He's not reactive at all, nor aggressive (loves greeting other dogs, even intact males) I have him under control, but he also has a bomb proof off switch command and recall; if I say "Enough Draco" he stops and just stares. I wouldn't let him act that way otherwise; then afterwards I praise him and redirect him onto his tug to let that bad energy out haha.
Awesome! Thank you! I am not either and she’s only had puppy classes, so she and I train together everyday.
I do have “go get em” command I use at the door when I say “break” - it means go patrol the yard- she knows game on. Hackles up and alert she charges out the door. I am going to work on that with her. Thank you for the information I will be working on it with her now!
