Natural allergy relief suggestions please

Hello! I’m still new here and there may be a chat on here asking a similar question.
I have a 3 year old male Doberman. He has always had allergies, he normally takes Apuquil daily. The tips of his toes and in between his toes get swollen and red. the itching seems to get worse for him every year (mainly in the spring summer and fall) and the allergy meds dont seem to do much for him anymore. The vet just gave him a shot last week (can’t remember the name of it) to reduce the urge to itch and they had me stop him on the apuquil… he is still itching and licking. I’m looking for more natural ways to remedy the irritation on his feet. Would love any suggestions anyone might have. I’ve attached photos of his feet below. Thank you!

Awww, sorry your boy is so aggravated. My boy has an occasional bought with something similar, but usually only happens when we've had several days of rain (SE Alabama, when it rains, it rains for DAYS).
(something the vet told us to try before trying meds)
We mixed up a little vinegar/water/peroxide in a spray bottle (2/3 water & 1/3 vinegar, shake well, dump out about 1/4 and top with peroxide) and it has worked for him.

My Dalmatian, it didn't work on her. Her feet get yeasty. I use (50/50) Monistat Cream & Hydrocortisone Cream (great for ear infection too)

Welcome from Minnesota!

Is it just the feet/toes that are affected? If so it makes me wonder if it's something he's walking through that he's reacting to. I wonder if it would help to try putting boots on when he goes outside to see if it gets better.

Hello! So yes it’s just his feet. I’m not sure what he would be walking on, the house stays very clean and then of course outside we have grass (untreated). Im thinking it is something outside that’s causing the irritation. We’ve tried the boots, he just kicks them off as soon as he can. ☹️

There are a ton of different weeds and things that could cause a reaction. As for the boots, I just use inexpensive fleece ones with velcro around the ankles. Of course there are times they can get them off but they stay on better than most of the expensive commercial ones.
Here's the style we use. Dog boot pattern
