So I got to spend time with my father today and he decided to come along with me to exercise the dog. (This is literally about one hour after he had a bone marrow biopsy) I was so happy he felt able enough to go with me. Not only that, but Jasper loves my dad so much. I swear it was love at first sight between the two of them. So it made the dog super happy too.

Anyways, I was able to get a couple very short videos of Jasper with the frisbee again but from better angles.

He does great with the frisbee!!

Paige was feeling fresh yesterday morning so her and Abbey played. Buncha goobers. Abbey's tactic when playing is to throw her butt on Paige but that gives Paige the advantage to noms her legs. :D

(Nails scrambling on linoleum warning if that triggers you. Yes, they are weekly trimmed but not suuuper short)

Follow the leader!

We let the chickens fully free range as much as we can when it's a nice day and we are out there. Then we just call them back (literally like a recall with a dog) to put them back inside the safety of the electric fence. Didn't even get a chance to call them today...they knew Dad had the good stuff. :D

^^^^^ Some of the hens have pads on their backs. Is that to stop them losing feathers with the rooster treading them?
Yep!! Spring time is the worst for it... I have one rooster with them and the 4 others are on their own side (one backup Australorp in case something happens to the main rooster and 3 pets). HOWEVER, *sigh* two of my Ameracauna roosters are notorious for flying over to hang with the flock. They don't do too much when they are over there nor get to mate as often because the head rooster wont let them but I put chicken saddles (yes, chicken saddles haha) on them as an extra ounce of protection and they don't seem to be bothered by them. He's got 15 hens but he's a big boy and its inevitable they'll get some worn feathers on their back from his claws. Every now and then we'll see one abandoned chicken saddle laying in the pasture and it makes me chuckle imagining basically a chicken stripping. :D

Oh my God those chickens are adorable! Why do I love that sound they make? LOL and then the rooster chimes in!!:spit: they are really cute! So are the dogs playing! So nice that they we're having a fun time!

Yesterday was Picture Perfect getting up to 71 degrees and sunny. It was just so beautiful! I was walking the dogs when we came back to the Corral and I saw the horses laying down. Sometimes it's a little :wideyed: moment especially when their mouth is hanging open. Look closer at my boy he looks like he's smiling! Every time they're like this I can't help but go inside with them. Sometimes I even sit on them but they were losing so much hair that I didn't dare LOL I'm a poet and don't know it.:p

It always makes you do a double check when you see them like that though. "Are they breathing??" :woot2:
You can see where my mom's horse, Hunter, has laid in the dry lot. There's a unique smooth horse shape in the sand with spatterings of blonde hairs left imprinted in it lol. Time to get the shedding blades out and keep thy mouth closed.

I can still remember when I first got these horses and came home to see them all laying on the ground. I went running out there so fast! :sonic: LOL they all jumped up like, what the hell!!!!!:pullhair: I was so relieved but still do it almost every time LOL when I first came up on Stilts laying there, with his mouth hanging open, his eyes were kind of blinking and I thought something was wrong but it was just that he was looking up at the Sun! :lmao:

Last night I got the shedding blade out on Cheyenne in her stall and I told my husband, look, there's a dead animal in here, as I pointed to the pile of hair. I thought I'd get him, but he knew.:p

I was looking through my videos and I don’t know why, but this one cracks me up. Anyone else have a dog that goes in the alert when you ask them “who’s that?” or “whats that?” I just love his dramatic turn around. This was taken when he was around 9mths old.

Yes!!! Even my dogs. They could be fine then you say that and they go ballistic..it's like dogs are born to react to those words. :D Jasper was ready to ruin someone's day.
