Run free Fate... :(

Well Fate (Della's litter mate) unexpectedly went over the bridge yesterday. :( She had a hole in her lung that they didn't know about and I'm still in shock (and tears) to hear the news.

As most of you older members know, she was one of our founding members girls (hrd2gt) and we all waited in anticipation as both Fate and Della grew up and came to us.

Run free beautiful Fate... :sorrow:

Karma, Fate and the IG's back when she had her original crew, who are all gone now.

And thankfully I was able to meet Fate last year when I was in Houston. The black one here is her boy Epic from Serbia.

Thanks everyone, I'll pass this along to her.

It turns out the hole in the lung was from trauma and she's almost positive it was because Epic bowled her over. She said Fate was usually good at dodging him but her hearing had gotten very bad and she didn't hear him coming. :(

I've always been worried about that when they're older so I've tried to keep Albert from getting to rough but sometimes she instigates it too.

Im too new on the forum to know Fate, but I send condolences. It is crazy to look at the photo and see all those babies that are all gone now. I have a photo like that with my past dogs. Gives goose bumps looking at it.

I was just recently learning about the dangers of letting dobies play too rough. Just unbelievable to me how this can happen.
