Posting Day!

The puppy will be housed in my house this will be all of the members on this sites puppy. You guys and girls are not getting away easy no way you will be taking on the puppy ride with me
Yay, I treat all of the members dogs like my own so a new puppy is great!

Don’t make fun of my guys lol all I can say is that there was some profanity used between me and my spouse. Kawhi is not a fan of posting day. I tried to use less tape, I hope he gets use to it!?

I'm using the tampon method. @Panama is our breeder, so she taught me to do it. Gretel will be 5 months in a few days, and I changed her posts last night and her ears are coming along nicely. I haven't left them down for longer than an hour because she's teething now, so I don't want to take any chances. Here are some pics from last night with her posts out and this morning with her new, already dirty posts. It's hard to tell from the pic of her posts, but the tape is very loose. I'm paranoid about cutting off the circulation. I couldn't crop my sleeping 9-year-old out of the picture, but he cracks me up lying there lol!

I know what you mean about the profanity flying! He'll get used to it before long, and you'll get faster at doing it. Gretel used to wiggle like crazy, but when she turned 4 months is about when she got used to it. I have an old towel that I put on the kitchen counter for her post changes. I duct taped a tupperware lid to the towel and before I put her on the counter, I smear peanut butter (be sure it's not sweetened with xylitol) on the lid and that keeps her busy while I'm posting. I just keep the lid taped to the towel so that it's always ready to go. I also keep frozen blueberries or some other special treat close by in case she finishes the peanut butter before I'm done, but these days, she's used to it and I work faster, so the peanut butter lasts long enough for me to finish. The key is getting it deep enough in the ear canal. Whenever she got posts out or shook her head, I figured out (thanks to searching this forum) that I didn't have the posts deep enough. Then it's back to square one.

Hey guys it’s been a while, I apologize I’ve been in the Doberman posting trenches lol. Kawhi is getting more comfortable posting and his ears are looking great!! I do have a question though, does the hair grow back that the tape rips off? Here a picture of bat dog .
