Rubie's Agility Career

Thanks guys! It's definitely more fun when we Q but I'm excited about seeing more consistency! I'm kinda bummed I forgot to look for a "new title" ribbon at the trial but some places don't give them out.

Our next trial is with UKI and it'll be just jumps and tunnels so should be a fun time!!

Some pics from our last trial came through

She came out of the tunnel opening with me on her left side, I pulled her through the red jump, and sent her to the green jump ahead of me. By crossing behind her, her natural direction is to veer right to a jump in line with the red (not pictured). It's sequence 7-8-9-10 on squares on the map below. She's jumping 9 while I'm running behind her to pull her back to 10. I believe I rear crossed her when she was taking jump 6 as well to pull her in toward the tunnel opening.

Rubie had her best two runs ever today and I'm so proud of her! Today was a different venue, UKI. We signed up for two Speedstakes runs. This is just jumps and tunnels; Rubie's JAM!

Speedstakes round 1

Beautiful run. 1st place and Q! Almost as fast as the border Collies!

Speedstakes round 2

Fast and flawless and even prettier than the first run!

I get so frustrated when she DOESNT do it because I know she CAN do it.

Our two 1st places were worth 6 points each so with our 12 points, we started and finished Beginners Speedstakes today! On to Novice!

No ribbons for us today. Too much excitement this weekend overall and Rubie just wasn't in to it. Blew the weave poles in Standard and knocked that first pole in JWW which is an auto NQ. I also lost her halfway through the JWW run so we just ran to finish, missing a jump. There weren't many Qs yesterday or today I'm told because they were kind of janky courses.

Really have to respect and admire your commitment and drive.

Ruby can do it and you continue to strive forward.

You are determined and that deserves acknowledgement.

Great job!! That damn Ruby just decides when she wants to shine doesn’t she??

She sure does! Our Corgi friend who is perfect upon perfect only got 1 Q out of 5 runs. She said it was very humbling :) these dogs sure do remind we're not always in control.

We did a lot of things well today and always happy to get out there and play so I can't be upset about that!

Moo got some actual ring time! It doesn't look like much but he's engaged with me and ignoring the peanut gallery which is a HUGE deal!

Rubie was awesome per usual but little stinker popped out of the weave poles early! I didn't notice until I watched the video...

I seem to be having issues with video quality for some reason?

Moose looks fantastic out there and has that innocent energy of just wanting to please. He looks like he is having fun.

The same ole Ruby....What to say?? That shit just burns up the course if she wants too!! Damn she looked good out there.

Good job.
