Doberman feet markings

So I'm trying to get a Doberman puppy and I found one but I'm concerned with the markings on its feet. I've never seen so much black on their paws. Is this normal?

I was just complementing someone's new puppy today (search "Unnamed...") on the pencil marks and thumbprints. But I have not seen what I see in this pic here. Looks like his paws were dipped in tar. I'm not sure what's going on there. I mean, besides unusually high melanism in the toe area. Is there a chance the pup is not totally pure bred?

A couple of my boy Oji's littermates have a high amount of black markings on the outer side of the rear pasterns. So it definitely varies in individual dogs.

As a rule, I like generous black markings on the feet, but if it is too unusual, it detracts from the appearance.

They are quite prominent but it’s very normal. The markings may well fade with age. It’s all to do with their genes.

Another member (@Beerswimmer) on here has a Doberman with prominent dark marking on his feet, too. Did the Sire or Dam have prominent (or faded) black markings on their feet?
Have a look at this thread...

Wondering if his dobies markings have faded somewhat?!

my little girl has black knuckles. Also a white patch on her chest. I think these little things are what will make them "yours". A dirty unique snowflake. I would think that, unless you're showing, it's nothing to worry about.

Lots of Euro lines have BLk markings on their feet.
Actually per DPCA their should be no Blk markings on feet.
But I really don’t care. I love Euro’s

Really? No black markings of the feet per DPCA? Not even pencil marks and thumbprints? Come on!!!!! As much as I revere and appreciate breed standard, I like black marks on the feet and legs, and the (as I call it) "black wash" over the muzzle and chest markings.

Who comes up with this stuff...reminds me of one of my Danes...Bud had a very small wisk of white on the chest and Couldn't Be Called A Black...After that we never showed him till he had a touch of Ms. Clairol...Don't miss with Me...I get up way earlier than you! ahahahahhahahah

Yes so do I like the Blk marks on the feet. Thumb prints which they should be on the muzzle yes is ok!

Yes the rust thumb prints on each side of head should be separated by the main color of the dog, from the rust that is on the muzzle.
