FCFFEC58-5170-496F-90D4-512E9F3D6F5F.webp so my little Rex is not compatable with the food, he had 2-3 good days with it. Solid poops, then took a turn for the worse. Massive diarrhea and vomitting. Pooped all over the patio, living room, bathroom and in the shower. Plus my neighbors porch (he shot his diarrhea off the patio onto the neighbors. Lmao. Anyways

Went to the vet and the breeder, he has a sensitive stomach they both told me to take him off orijen. I got into an argument with the vet because he said hills and purina were good food. Lol anyways, breeder recommended me to a locally owned pet feed store. I went and spoke to the owner who recommended me a brand made for sensitive stomachs like his. Apparently he’s seen several Dobbies in the area with sensitive tummies.

Now back to the topic, I have 4 1 gallon ziplock bags full of orijen large puppy food. I know some members here feed it and it’s yours for free. Plus shipping.

Aww poor Rex!

Awesome that you resisted your vet's suggestions haha.

So what food did the local shop recommend? To me if you haven't bought it and were interested in the frozen raw, then you should go for raw again. If not then at least make sure to look up your new kibble on the dog food advisor site.

I went with canidae, I’m going to begin mixing his food in tomorrow with the chicken and rice.

Our boy is knuckling over. We had him on eagle pack :( could u see how much h the shipping would be and let me know? I need to find someone else but I want to try first before buying. Ugh! 23872 is my zip..

I was thinking about going with Canidae is well...the multi protein one I've heard a lot of good things. Wondering if I should this go straight to it -sigh-

The dude at the store recommended the canidae for sensitive stomachs. Idk if your dude has a sensitive stomach or not. But yeah, probably cost 20-30 dollars to ship to you with a flat rate box from the post office.

@Antman408 Keep us posted as you did with the orijen, I’d like to know how your little dude is doing on his new kibble sensitive tummies seem to be sort of common, I like loading my guns with bullets of knowledge and extra always helps

I will, I’m giving him chicken and rice until his poop hardens. I dropped off a fecal matter to the vet to rule out a bacterial infection.

On Monday I’m going to begin mixing the kibble with his chicken and rice over the week. The food I got has really good reviews for sensitive stomachs and it has probiotics in it already so I don’t need to add any probiotics. I will post an update on Friday.

Aww poor guy. Orijen and some of the other ones like that can be a little rich for their sensitive tummies so it sometimes is a matter of figuring out what works for your particular pup. How generous to offer what you have left to one of our members though!
