Intestinal Blockage??

I hate to ask it again, but in case you missed it...did you try a different bag of food @Apollo's Dobermom ? Again, since he ate treats at the vet, some raw, and the food covered up with bone broth, I would try a different bag of food.
Yes....he did not care for the new bag either :( He still did not eat his food tonight so I gave him the buns from a plain cheeseburger from mcdonalds. I just wanted him to eat and get some calories in him. He ate it :D

Apollo have you tried the Earthborn Holistic? Mine did really well on that. Also the Stella and Chewys freeze dried raw. You could crumble up a patty of that mixed with water and put that on top of the kibble as well. Mine loved the freeze dried raw. It is a bit pricey but if you are just using it as a topper it will last longer for the money.

Update: I took Apollo in to get blood work done a couple days ago and everything came back healthy/normal....the vet was just as confused as I am. I ended up keeping him there overnight to have them monitor his behavior. The next day, I went to pick him up and they said that he ate the wet food they gave him and finished it! With that being said, I went out immediately afterwards and bought him 6 cans of wet food (I bought Purina Beyond), it was the first one I could get my hands on. I just wanted to experiment and see if he would eat it. When I got home, I poured a can of that into his bowl and mixed in two cups of the dry food (pro plan) that he has not been eating at all and what do ya know! He ate all of it! It has been 4 days now and he has been eating 2 meals a day again and maybe not finishing a bite or two each time! He used to lick his bowl clean but I would say this is definitely an improvement from not eating at all! He still doesn't have the same enthusiasm with his food as he used to but he seems to eat pretty much all the food I give him if I mix the wet food with his dry food. Tonight, I tried feeding him the dry food by itself again like I used to and he went back to not eating at all.....What does this mean?! Do dogs just randomly decide one day that they don't wanna eat the dry food they have been eating for basically their whole life? Because his health is good....we did ultrasound, blood work, xray...everything was great.

If I feed him canned food from now on and mix his kibble in with it, he will start eating again and gaining his weight back. Should I just feed him like this from now on? Or should I try to get him back to eating dry food again? Also, he is 10 and a half months now and only 62lbs...:(

Have you looked into honest kitchen ? It's a dehydrated raw food that's very simple to do.

Yes, dogs will all the sudden stop eating a food they've been on. It took me forever to figure out the right food for my husky. He was the finickiest eater. He ended up only doing well on pork based, grain free foods.

I would try changing foods completely. Start with small bags/rolls/whatever until you find one that he does well on.

So glad to hear they haven't found anything wrong with him. It can be very stressful when a dog turns their nose up to food. All kinds of scenarios go through your mind. Welcome to the joys of parenthood. lol If putting a bit of topper on his food makes him eat then so be it. I would definitely look into finding a food he enjoys more, lots of choices it just takes time to find the right one. Good luck! By the way how is his behavior training going? You are thick into doberteens now, keep your head up each little victory is one step closer to your ultimate goal! :thumbsup2:

Glad he is eating.
I would feed him what he is eating like the canned. Actually canned is better than kibble. Sorry but not the brand your feeding. Canned has lots of moisture in it which is good. Because the body is not using its own moisture for digestion. Some canned will be much lower in Carbs than Kibble. I always say dogs need named meat proteins and named meat fats. No Carbs!
Sorry but I would look into a much better brand and not Purina anything be it kibble, canned, or treats! They have questionable ingredients in them.

Look on Dog Food Advisor for 5 Star canned foods and Organic if possible.

I did like Cocolicious Organic but they have recalls right now.

Bravo Canine Cafe Beef or others are good.

Try and look for ones that don't have these. But it might be tough.
guar gum
xanthan gum
