Wonderful photos in the forest and plsyground. I bet Asha would be good with kids. Have you ever considered Therapy Dog work? For those who like to proof the work there is a ribbon or two IIRC.

The forest photos were in a steep mountain range close to 8,000 feet, everything else is pretty brown. Also appears that about 1/4 of the forest areas trees across the state are dead or dying.

I'm afraid I almost spit my coffee at this comment. Asha tolerates people after 2 years of hard steady training. She considers strangers useless unless they have food, and it offends her to stand still for petting. One of my biggest training hurdles was the "stand for exam" in AKC obedience, because that many years ago she was still prone to grumbling or threat barking if someone approached her. She is neutral now, but no, Therapy Dog would be torture for her. To her credit she never growled, barked or was ever offended by little kids, just big people. At parks if there were some running and screaming she watched intently, but more of a wanting to join them and play (which means tackle and knock down). I got her jazzed up playing at this park in the grass with a stick and she got wild in a hurry (her normal) and as I was spinning away she jumped up at me and bit the back of my shoulder hard enough to bruise and leave two scrapes. I started it, and gave her the go-ahead to play hard, so I have no complaints. It's nothing aggressive, just how she plays.

What's funny is I had her feet up on that little bench in the previous picture where the red ball is behind her, and I turned her around to put feet up on the red ball opening for another shot and she just jumped in! She was quite content in there. It was a great little playground!

Took some work socializing Bonnie. As a one year old she about scared a year of growth barking at a couple kids that came to the door unannounced. Not a lab...

No, quite alright, it was fun for a second to daydream of my Doberman being a sweet social girl that could provide social enjoyment for the public. But then, because of my dogs past, I burst out laughing.
