So you have changed your style? I thought you posted a thread with all the stuff you did with Raven to get ready for a show.

Yeah, much more so these days. I spoke with a big time handler (Teresa Nail) about her grooming techniques and she takes a more minimalist approach. Although if i show up early enough i still groom like before.
Whiskers, nails, hair cuts, that sort of thing is all done the night before still.

Some people like doing the paint still, and i got tired of that. It always makes the dogs really cold and IMO just not neccessary for how little is put on.

Paint this is a little misleading as most do the grooming the day or two prior to the show. Since we do not deal with white hair, long hair etc then grooming can be done prior and they then only need a quick wipe down at the show. So if you count the time you spend doing nails, bathing, shaving there is time involved. That is why anyone with dobes can roll out of bed and go straight to the show. The grooming was all done before hand to enhance the beauty. Grooming in no way affects correct structure.

I am not familiar with Boxers as I only have studied Dobermans but in the pictures above of the Boxer as you see the feet to do not touch as you see in a true single track which is correct for the Doberman. The back foot should replace the front foot in a single track whereas the Boxer has a paddle affect to his front leg as it has more bend than the dobe.

The standard as applies to bone density. We see too many of #3 IMHO
