Sir Teaufulhaundt of Dorin Court, My service dobe of twelve years aquired Lymphoma. Oncologist stated he had six weeks to live.

Purdue University has cancer trials, and accepted Teauful. He lived for an additional five and half months.

The loss is indescribable. Teauful is our third Doberman to pass since 1991. As is tradition, before passing our Teaufuls select our next Doberman. It is up to my wife and I to search and connect with the Next Teauful.

Eighteen months of service dog training will certainly be a challenge as we become older, but were not alone on that journey.

For those that have yet to experience a dobe's passing, put down the electronics and spend time with your dobe. Time is fleeting.

So sorry for you…the loss of a Doberman is extremely hard and it just leaves a hole.

It hurts so bad that I often wonder if it’s even worth it. But one day @GennyB said something like- if it wasn’t something so special then it wouldn’t hurt so bad.

Hope you find peace.

Thank you so much. I wonder the same thought about my grown children. Haha. I should have stuck to my guns when wife wanted children and convinced her more dobes woyld be rhe ticket for Utopia.

So sorry for your loss. I hope you find peace soon. :sorrow:
Thank you Mum. My father passed away a few months Teauful. I inherited the estate. Now the weather is better, it's time to build the fence around the land. Time to find a reputable breeder that can help me find a dobe fit for service dog mobility service work. Peace will be lay in a hammock with the new Teauful with his legs in the air snoring next to me. No better peace in my book.lol

It's always painful and I don't think I'm over any of them but the best healing comes with a new puppy. I'm so sorry for your loss but you have some solid loving memories of many years together. Hoping that brings you peace and with time a new dog.

I am so sorry for your loss. The hurt never goes away, but with time and a new puppy the hurt lessens. You will always have those wonderful memories in your heart. 🤎🖤

Thank you kindly Strykerdobe. Cant wait for summer, wife and I will be traveling to breeders. Haven't had much luck getting breeders respond back.

What a beautiful tribute to an amazing doberman. So very sorry for your loss....I have never had one make it to 12! I imagine that it hurts that much more :sleepy:
