I will post pictures later as he’s currently at the ER Vet and I can’t go inside.
I noticed earlier this week Rex had a spot on his right hock on his “knee cap”. That was bleeding, I felt the spot and it was lumpy and felt like a mass. It was roughly the size of half a golf ball. Our family vet told us to bring him to the ER as they were about to close.
anyways we brought him in and they took a sample and didn’t see anything concerning. Infection wise. We got a anti inflammatory and went home.
fast forward to yesterday, I noticed blood all over the couch, his bed and floor. I checked both dogs and found his hock elbow to be bleeding and blistering pretty badly. I stopped the bleeding and gave the vet a call and they told me to bring him in. The veterinarian informed me she has never seen this before in the location it’s at. The mass isn’t filled with fluid. There’s a possibility it’s sarcoma. We were given anti biotics, trazadone and the dog ibuprofen. Forgot the name. They scheduled us an appointment with their soft tissue surgeon tomorrow (Monday at 9am). They are going to take a biopsy and might remove it tomorrow at the same time. Or may do a biopsy and remove later in the week. However they told me to bring him in fasted.
so Today’s he’s on crate and bed rest. With getting CBD and trazadone so he’s tired all day and still.
