I sometimes wonder "if the best way to bring a young strong male dobe along" socially is to learn from an older female in the household already.

Any thoughts on that?

...is to be brought in under a pre-existing female of strong enough physicality and good temperament to essentially, aid in the socialization and maturity started by Mamma Dobe up until the Hooman takes over at 8-10 weeks.

---and what about best time to bring the dobe pup home? 10, maybe 12 weeks if the ethical preservation breeder has begun the crop with a known skilled dobe crop vet?

Just starting a conversation here to avoid going OT elsewhere...

Does all of that darkness affect you? We're in northern Minnesota and our short days are difficult but I can't imagine how it is there.

They both got new fuzzy balls, which have always been Elroy's prize possession but this time Olive was really happy to get one too without the desire to immediately destroy it.

I wish I could have taken a picture of Annie while I was watching a YouTube video. But I was watching on my phone so my camera was in use!

But I was watching a video where people were saying the trigger words for their dog to go for a walk. It was quite a hysterical. Some people didn't even get to the word "walk" when they'd say, "Do you want to go for .......and the dog was already jumping up and running for the door! Or another one was under a blanket and couldn't get out from under it fast enough when they said the word, Park.

I was sitting on the couch in the sunroom with Annie when I realized that she was listening to the trigger words herself! Her ears were perked, her head was tilting from side to side, and then she finally jumped off the couch and ran out of the room! Hey!!! We're not going for a walk! Get back here!
