Trip to the mountains always a great time! Pepper was such a good girl, stayed close by never ran off, visited a few mountain towns and she was a pleasure. She even fell asleep on the patio at the lunch place we stopped at in Woodstock lol. A lot of sniffing and running all over! She needs a vacation from vacation.

It is SO nice! It’s really special to see my husband and my boys with her too, just all enjoying being together. My husband said Pepper is better behaved than our youngest lol

A belt in my truck broke while on the interstate… so we had to stop as power steering went. Had to get a tow, thankful Toyota was close by, but they can’t get to my truck until next week. Toyota got us a Lyft to a rental car spot. Now heading home which is 1.5 hours away. I said to my family thank goodness Pepper is trained so wel! She got into an uber and a Lyft and now the rental car. What a freaking day.

You’re definitely right about that! That could’ve been a nightmare. I didn’t know that uber has a dog friendly ride FYI.
We've never had a dog that looked up at sounds like Annie. Passing geese, a helicopter or in this case, a small plane. We are sitting on the back deck and she was sleeping. We could hear the plane in the distance and they all make different sounds it seems. Sometimes we're watching for it ourselves, just to see what it is. Annie picked up her head at the sound and when it was in view, she followed it until it was over the house.
When we are in the house, helicopters going by are louder and lower and I can always recognize them. And so can she! She will get up and go to the door or window! I've seen her follow birds too. Very interesting since none of our other dogs did that.

I never had one as interested in the sky as Z, either, and I really noticed it, too. We don't have many aircraft to see here, so I've not noticed that. She sure is interested in birds, though!
Angel doesn't notice aircraft much, but birds? They are vile fowl things that have no business in his yard, on his fence or in his airspace. Even when he was a baby.
