Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2026

I have one Doberman who is a very natural therapy dog. She was not carefully bred, admittedly. Now I have one who was very carefully bred, and I am trying to get her at least familiar with the therapy dog world. We started tonight, kept it short and ended training on a high note.20260324_184227.webp20260324_184225.webp

Here’s one. This guy showed up at our house this morning about 1:30 am, slept on a dog bed that’s was on the porch. I’m out of town. He was still there this morning, hungry, husband was able to catch him. He’s on a stall in the barn now. I notified everyone I could,
That’s a pretty pup right there.
What kind do you think?

OMG, time flies SO fast. In the mid 90's my husband and I learned to team rope. He was a header, I was a heeler. He got some great idea to get a steer to practice on. We had an arena we could use at our house, not a roping arena, but one that would work. Friend of ours was dispersing their herd of roping cattle. The black and white guy was his wife's 'pet', Wilbur. Well, when we went to pick Wilbur up, we were worried he'd get lonely, so we saw that little tan guy on the outside of the herd, so we got him too. Well, "Shorty", we was a bull, and real short, was a sweetheart. You could put a rope around Wilburs horns and lead him around, but he didn't like to be brushed, Shorty was just the opposite, he LOVED to be brushed but couldn't put a rope around his horns and lead him about. When we moved we brought both of these guys with us to our new property. Poor Wilbur was bit by a rattlesnake, we had to put him down on Memorial Day 2006, Shorty lived to be in his mid to late 20's. They are both buried on the property, along with 5 horses.

cows will die from a rattlesnake bite?

cows will die from a rattlesnake bite?
Yes they will, usually bit on the face, face swells, can't eat. I was still working, only coming up to the property on weekends, Husband did not notice poor Wilbur suffering, and when I got up here it was way to late to save him. Local rancher leases the BLM land around us for his cattle. Cattle are only out here for 2 months. One year we could see that one had gotten bitten, few days later we found her dead along our road.
