Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2026

Have you tried the TV (time value) setting so you can set it to a fast shutter speed to get things in focus even when they're action shots?
I believe I was using the auto mode for the shutter speed yesterday. In the past I have manually set it and had similar issues. 🙁

Once I was taking portraits of Remy just sitting. Instead of the auto focus choosing his face, it kept going onto his chest. I had it turn it off and manually focus where I wanted it.

I’ve had the camera since late 2019. I loved it and never really had issues until I started taking pictures of Remy. I wonder if him being black with dark eyes is part of the problem (for the autofocus)? That’s why I would like to try a camera with animal eye tracking and see if it’s any better.

Here’s one. This guy showed up at our house this morning about 1:30 am, slept on a dog bed that’s was on the porch. I’m out of town. He was still there this morning, hungry, husband was able to catch him. He’s on a stall in the barn now. I notified everyone I could,

Forgot to add, we JUST put Lucky down on Friday. Friends have told me that Lucky sent a replacement. Many, many years ago, Lucky just happened to show up at our house also. We found out who owned Lucky, but we ended up with Lucky a year or two later, Lucky kept showing up at our house. So my husband talked Lily’s owners into letting us keep Lucky

I'm so sorry for your loss but it is incredible that this sweet guy showed up on your doorstep so shortly after. Maybe he is meant for you.

What a cute face! My brother had a trailer full of boxes that he was going to take to recycling, and one morning there was a dog in the trailer amongst the boxes. They left her alone figuring she had somewhere that she was heading, but she was on their front porch the next morning. They kept her, and named her Boxx. She was so devoted to them! He cried like a baby when they had to put her down.
