20200820_170549.webp Just finished taking Mercy's post out getting ready to change them. I was able to take this picture of them close together. Preacher is doing his one hour kennel rest after eating his dinner. Mercy was up to 23 1/2 lbs as of a few days ago. She was 17 1/2 when we got her July 26th.

Aw, she’s such a sweetheart! Growing like a little weed, too. Ears are looking fab :)
So, how’s Preacher getting on with his little sister? Teaching her how to get up to mischief? ;)

They get along great, it's amazing how much patience Preacher has. Sometimes Mercy stays after Preacher and just won't let up. Preacher lets her carry on until he has had enough then gently puts her in her place. I can look out the window and see them going at it, next thing I know they are laying next to each other a sleep.

Her ears do look really good in this picture, at the moment we are dealing with getting a yeast infection cleared up.She gets ear drops every evening for a week or so. While she is getting the drops I've had to modify her posting system. I'm having to leave the bottom of the ears open so the post are not going all the way down. She has a lot of spunk, my wife thinks she will be a little Firecracker by the time she is 6 months.

I envision Preacher to be a lot like Ragnar.
-rough
-a bull
-mach 12
-very impatient
-slams into door jams
-doberstomps poor kitty cats
-slams self down on couch/chair
-just nothing timid or gentle about him

With these known tendencies I would be highly concerned/worried with Ragnar and a new puppy. I know not to leave them alone unsupervised, but still....

but yet you say that Preacher is gentle, considerate, patient and caring towards Mercy??

If it will make you feel better we will not let Preacher loose with the kitties, he would doberstomp them. Preacher has all the characteristics you mentioned. My wife was worried about how he would be with a new pup. After talking to our breeder and our trainer they said Preacher would be fine. Sure enough even when Mercy is barking in his face and biting him on his neck he shows great patience and control.I might mention Eric (Doberman Gang) on this forum is our trainer.
