Just wanted to pop in to say hello! Richter and Sypha are doing great. Sypha just turned 2 back in December and Richter is now 5 1/2. Sypha earned her first Nosework title in December, so that's pretty exciting, too. Both dogs are competing in Nosework and Sypha is also doing agility. Hoping to do some more barnhunt with Richter, too - he seemed to really like it.

Those are some fine looking hounds for sure!!!! Why are some Doberman's ears cut longer or shorter?
Is there a name for the cuts? Kyanne's are "middle of the road". I've seen longer like yours are and some ........really short.

There are actually 3 different names for the different crop lengths but the styles are all totally unique.
Military (short and not recommended for a Doberman)
Medium
Long or show crop, which can take a ton of time to post.

And there's certainly variety, as Jan mentioned, since both of my dogs have show crops, but the length is different on each dog and the style is different. Each cropper really has their own style, since it's really an art.
