What the heck!!! Spikes one eye is blood red. Same side hubby had to yank the Buckle on. Could that have caused this? Did hear him cry out yesterday when I was bringing them in. Maybe Ruby whacked him with her toe nail..
Off to the vet tomorrow. I can't take much more DRAMA!

Hubby think he might have burst a blood vessel wrenching on that buckle. I think Ruby did it. She is always jumping on his head and he did cry out yesterday, not the normal yelp like when she nips him...

Oh no! Poor Spike :(

It's terribly bloodshot. I would of thought it developed from his trauma yesterday. Ruby could of well caught his eye while she was trying to break free from him.
I would definitely get him seen by the vet he may well prescribe an eye ointment.

Keep us informed. Will be thinking of him!

Is the entire sclera hemorrhaged?
If so, it is most likely from the pressure of the collar causing the capillaries to rupture.

Also could be from a blunt trauma to the eye, re: Ruby's paw.

Let us know how it goes at the vet.

Wow you're having quite the streak of scary stuff. Let us know how it goes at the vet.

I figured that's what it was. I remembered my mom eye did that every once in awhile due to stress. I'm glad you got him seen and he will be just fine :)
No go grab a cocktail or 5 lol sounds like you need some R&R !

Your husband was a hero in my eyes. It could have been fatal if he didn't act so quickly.
He really is, cause i know I couldn't unbuckle it and it was so tight around his neck he couldn't cut it...I hate to think what would have happened if i had been here alone. Me and a knife during a high stress situation would have been sketchy at best.
