I got Ripley's fleece sweaters from Euro Dog Design but unfortunately she's no longer in business. You can get something similar from made by meadowcat, she's on Facebook. Revel is wearing basically a horse blanket made for dogs. I'll check for a tag and edit this post with the name. I bought it 10+ years ago for my previous dog, Paige. Thankfully the chest strap across the front just barely fits on the tightest Velcro setting. For my previous dogs that fit the blanket as an adult I have doubled up and used a fleece like Ripley's under the horse dog blanket and it worked really well for walks!
I had to train Ripley to go potty in this. She hates it too at this temp (-30+ wind-chill!). She pouts then I tell her to go potty and shut the door on her and watch through the blinds. She knows the faster she goes the sooner she comes in. Soon as she does anything, pee or poop, she gets to come in and gets a high value treat. Then I'll try again in 20-30 min for the other thing she didn't do.
Having to do this with Revel. Twice yesterday he pooped in his kennel as soon as I put him in... and then did it this morning too
I've done the opposite of what I wanted, was trying to use the kennel to keep an eye on him but he's using it as a potty spot 
Can't make it any smaller either. I was thinking well at least he's going in there and not on the carpet. So trying the potty trick with him like with Ripley until he finally goes #2 and he will get some cheese!

There is also Hurtta brand. Ripley wore my old dog's Hurtta coat but has outgrown it now so I sold it. They are pretty spendy but definitely do the job.

Thanks so much! Got her to go this afternoon by keeping the door open an inch and telling her to go potty every time she came up the steps. Took 3 times, but she finally peed outside! Elroy has been doing that too on his own, even when the crate doors are wide open and he will even use the hard side dog bed we have sitting in the corner. I swear he wants to be litter box trained. LOLwas trying to use the kennel to keep an eye on him but he's using it as a potty spot
I still think the boots are most important since they have a harder time keeping their feet on the ground long enough to go potty.

Gilly only gets cheap amazon coats from here on out because he has lost TWO coats in our woods already this winter! Actually he lost them in the swamp part of the woods. They belong to nature now, I'm not going out there.

Kaiser gets his clothes from Winners. Somehow they manage to have really big dog clothes available and it's not very expensive, about $20? His last coat was purchased around age 2 and it is still going strong. A pic of it here along with a balaclava that has room for cropped ears but he hates wearing that thing lol, can you tell haha.
When the polar vortexes started a few years back, we had to come up with more ideas so we added a big human tshirt under the coat. I tie a knot at the waist so he doesn't pee all over it. He also has a human neck warmer. Another tip is to warm them up inside the house by having them jog a bit before sending them out. I'll do a training session as a pre-warm up, then I toss treats from one corner of the house to the next, so he runs to get them, do this a lot, and then we open the door to send him out. By the time this whole process is done, his body should be warm and his bowels hopefully ready to go, so all he has to do is find the perfect spot!
If you want to go all out, then I'd suggest these fabulous outfits!
