We went out to a new trail today and had some fun. No sunshine today though :(
The best part was walking through an industrial area by the parking lot and discovering this, it's only been open a week :)
The sun was out on a beautiful day, so I took Vader out for a hike in the snow. It was his first time out walking away from our neighborhood, and his first time off leash. He did great! We went about 3 miles with lots of stops for him. He was mostly walking right behind me, he actually stayed...
So last night Vader was itching to go for a run, but I wrestled with him and played with a tug rope instead. It took over 2 hours before he started to get close to being tired :(
My puppy was in a cone while his stitches were healing and I'm glad he was. He was constantly trying to scratch at them. He would have destroyed his own ears. I say unwrap them to breathe, but absolutely keep the cone on until the stitches come out.
I am positively NOT an expert!
My little guy is such a wiggle worm that I have to put him on a barstool. He can't move very much up there, and I'm able to post him pretty easily. Treats afterwards every time. I was worried before I did it, but once you do it you'll see it's pretty easy.
Have everything prepped and ready...
Again, hmmmmmmm........ My puppy(14 weeks on 19DEC) has started to lead me on runs of 1.5 to 2.5 miles without stopping. It's now his favorite activity. I'm not running him, he's running me! He loves it. It's on snow packed roads.

Don't worry, I'm salty AF, you can't hurt my feelings ;) I'll be going next week to visit and see everything, plus go over the methods and see some training in action. An e-collar is only an option right now. It's a puppy obedience training class, but she does offer classes for older dogs and...
I'll be leaving for 2 weeks(my wife too) at the end of January and have decided to not just board my puppy(18 weeks when he'll be there), but board him with a highly recommended trainer. A 2 week puppy boot camp. The training will incorporate the use of an e-collar and 4 1 hour sessions after...
I've been saving all of the feet from the ducks and geese I shot this year in the freezer, can I feed them as snacks occasionally without too much fear of an explosive reaction? The dog is 12 weeks old and eats kibble with some kefir milk right now.
I wanted to save the organs, but didn't want...
