Landlords can no longer refuse pit bulls, rottweilers, dobermans or other breeds considered ‘scary’ Alba Asenjo Domínguez Thu 1 Oct 2026 18.34 EDT Share Landlords in Washington DC will no longer be able to refuse a tenant’s dog based on its breed, size or weight, nor can they impose special...

I don't know where time goes but it's already his 4th Birthday. @Rits took this photo when him and his littermate were both staying at her house. They got raw bones today as a Birthday treat.

Since there is such low interest in wall calendars these days, I'm going to lump them all into one calendar if we get at least 12 submissions. The photos can be Dobermans, puppies or any breed as long as there are no people in the photo and it's sort of a scenic background. If we by chance get...

This is one of the things I love about the UKC atmosphere. If you've spent any time at a UKC event, you've probably experienced it. Someone you've never met offers you a chair because yours broke. A fellow exhibitor hands you the bait you forgot to pack. Someone watches your dog...

This was way too long and ad ridden to copy and past but I see most of these breeds all the time; especially the Doberman. LOL...

Elroy had his second weight pull class today and he's doing better than I thought and seems to be proud of himself, hence the submissive ears. By the second half of the class they had us all pulling the cart in the background and we got up to 5 cement blocks on it by the time the hour was over.

I put a short video together just from some shows this year. Not necessarily outstanding, but some great memories with friends and of course the dogs.

I had to move on to Zazzle since apparently Cafe Press doesn't have them anymore. I have one done but I want to see how this works for everyone else. https://www.zazzle.com/strictly_dobermans_calendar_2026-256465273746746905

Hard to believe he's 3 already but here we are. The morning we were supposed to leave to meet @Rits and her hubby, who were already on the way with Elroy, we started getting freezing rain so the roads were glare ice. It was 5 or 10 mph for the first 70 miles or so, so it set us way back but we...

I know wall calendars are sort of falling to the wayside for younger generations, but how many here are interested in trying to do a couple with members dogs for 2026? Last year we did one all breed one for dogs or pups and one all Doberman one for dogs and pups.

This is a friend from our dog club and she bred the Lassie for the 2005 remake. To just have a litter from this sire is quite amazing to me. "It was a collie day today Denise & I had Mason ( who played in the remake of Lassie Come Home in 2005) collected 21 years ago. It was fun to spend the...

The thread in the running post and horse leads reminded me of this. The other day I brought Elroy to my friends to practice since she's going to take him in the ring for me. I told her I just can't run fast enough anymore and they pace with me instead of gait. She asked me what the difference...

How long should a person wait?

I'm posting for @Panama since she can't seem to get in right now. There is a contest and Joker is entered, so anyone on Facebook can just hit like or love to cast a vote. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=122178504656328419&set=a.122109830366328419

Our club has added it to the AKC testing days this summer and it looks like it would be fun. Has anyone here done it? https://www.akc.org/akctemptest/ I want to enter Elroy this year since both of these dogs are pretty rock solid when it comes to things surprising them. I think even...
