Husband left the hedge trimmer outside last night, in preparation of some guys coming over to trim some Mt Mahogany. This little surprise was all coiled up, enjoying the sun. Husband picked up the trimmer, set it on the tailgate, and never saw this little guy.
I JUST learned of the Merlin bird app, by one of my fellow cyclists on the tour I did. Installed it, now anxious to use it at home, where there's a few bird calls I can't identify.
I did not know that Beaucerons came in merle, I thought they were all black and rust/tan. The photo above "marle" describes fabric, "merle" describes coloring of animals, I do believe.
I don't recall where I read it, or even if it's true, where Bull Mastiffs where created by using English Bulldogs in a cross. Hmm, will have to look that up.

Yes, I've a friend that is a nightmare, gets all gooey at dogs, gets in their face, very first thing when she sees a dog, I haven't been able to 'train' her not to do that.
Sounds like the company that does the snake training in my area. They also set out a pile of shed rattler skins too. Also, very last thing they do, dog is on a long line, they have you call the dog, but between you and the dog is a rattler that had been placed there. Nice to see the dogs...
Ah yes, there's been rattlesnake trainers, same company, coming up here for years and years now. Works great. Oskar, my GSD, lets us know if there's one around. Even gopher and racer snakes he avoids and barks at, from a distance. I do relocate the rattlers, but I take them about 8 miles...
