Thanks. Thats good info on the lack of irritation, and how well the NeckTech has held up. We also use a typical exposed 2.25" H&S with throat latch, which is vulnerable to inadvertently disconnecting if the fit isnt just so. So I may give this a try.
Bonnie's pretty good on leash for my BW but...

Yes. Had a similar problem on a TactiPup, custom ordered with the FI gps holder.
While the metal clasp connector and the overall design was good, the stiff nylon and stitching irritated her skin, and tended to rub hair off. The Fi didnt really work as advertised in our gullies,
so I got a...
Great pics and great job. I feel like I'm at risk of being seen as "teaching my grandmother to suck eggs" (anyone remember that old saying?🤣)
But for anyone lurking to learn on dobes ...
These dogs are so smart they really learn fast at this puppy stage if there is clear consistent training...
Yes Leerburg is a great resource IMHO
and YES, last I looked a year ago much of his older stuff was still free there with a goldmine of other old school wisdom.
BTW here is a tip for the frugal like me:

Salt water is hard on gear.
Need a new basic collar to hold tags.
What model/maker is that black nylon with heavy duty fastener you showed a couple days ago, do you recall?
Think my 2nd Dogtra is failing due to salt water intrusion. Gonna call for advice on repair or replace.
I use a Hidden...

Looks like a crab pot.
How DID you get them out?
Throw a blanket over the whole thing?

The Pair of juvenile Great Horned Owls hatched and living in the forest where we walk nearby appear to be doing ok.
They are intrigued by Bonnie and appear to be interested in my sorry imitations of adult calls: soft low hoots (which is sort of odd from these big birds...) its more like cooing...
Thanks. I got that invaluable tip (use tug as reward) from an old gun dog guy here with dobe expertise. @MikeP
Bonnie will spit a food reward in favor of the tug.
