I would try for late November or December if she's just coming in now.probably February at this point
Can I do it even if she is prone to false pregnancies? Because I’d love to have it done as it’s getting harder on her.I would try for late November or December if she's just coming in now.
I'm by no means an expert, but I think that would be better for the timing of the heat cycles. Can I do it even if she is prone to false pregnancies?
Ask the vet who will be doing the spay. There are studies suggesting that the best time to spay is in complete anestrus, which would be 3 - 4 months after her first day of bleeding. There is no hard evidence that I could find, they just say it's easier on the body if the hormones are not in a false pregnancy. Can I do it even if she is prone to false pregnancies?
