Trendy and brother Crowley had their very first show weekend showing in Beginner Puppy (BPUP) 4-6 months a week ago!

Saturday Trendy won BOB (Best of Breed) with Crowley winning BOS (Best Opposite Sex) against competition! Trendy then went on to win Working Group 1!

Sunday was a repeat for Trendy!! BOB/Group 1 Crowley unfortunately tweaked his shoulder doing who knows what so we decided to pull him for his best interest and comfort. ❤️

Both puppies showed very well! I was afraid Trendy was going to go out there on standing/trying to gait on just two legs 😂 but she went out there looking like a little pro! We joked it would be a win if both puppies kept their feet on the ground and did something resembling a trot.

She enjoyed hanging out ringside. Getting pets from children, lovin from dad, and all the people watching 😆

This past weekend sister Collins won BOB/Group 3. She might sit a little to grow up some more as she's going through a lanky puppy phase and naughty puppy phase. She is a head strong girl. 😅

A couple of my friends asked if they could borrow Trendy for a junior to show this weekend so Trendy spent the weekend with her aunties and had so much fun!

First she stayed with Jen which is her brother, Crowley's, owner. Poor Crowley is on strict crate rest for a pulled muscle that is almost healed (the one from two weeks ago) so he didn't even get to play with his sister. Jen joked that she wanted to trade Trendy for Crowley which is funny because she is a "boy dog only" home. 😂 She said Trendy was SO well behaved and sweet.

They like her more than her brother 😆

Then on Sunday, Trendy hung out with Brandy which is my friend that temperament tested the litter for me! Brandy and her junior, Nikki, went to a UKC show along with Fish her Corso and Trendy! Trendy and Nikki went on and won Best Puppy in Show!! Brandy said Nikki fumbled a little but got better and better each time and said that Trendy was really patient with her for her age. Once they went in for BIS they looked like a team! So happy for her and happy that Trendy could help a junior out. 🥰

Had a fun little show weekend last weekend for Trendy and Crowley making their show debut since they just turned 6 months old a week ago from last Friday!

😎 "Trendy" 😎
Soluna's Before It Was Cool made her debut in her first big girl show for points and won RWB against others out of the Bred By class! In bred by exhibitor, you can only show dogs you've bred. The dog also must be handled by the breeder on record.

Ordered a print of this that is on its way in the mail. Ripley's very first show she was RWB too and we were proud since that was also Derek's first AKC show. Had to stick with the tradition for her daughter, especially with it being our first bred by! 😁

👔 "Crowley" 👔
Soluna N Melrae's Dressed To Chill made his debut in his first show and won RWD. He may have been the only other dog next to his uncle, but we won't tell him that 😄. He was a good boy, showed well, and most importantly had fun!!

Trendy is stunning!
Thank you!! We are all excited about her. She is a smart cookie too and seems to love to show! She holds her stack like a little statue like her mom lol. Now that she's got the basics of movement and stacking down I'm starting to teach her how to free stack and she's catching on super quickly in a few sessions! I think she loves bitesports more but getting food for looking pretty is second best right now 😁

You'll have to post those two photos side by side so we can see Rip/Trendy look-a-like photos!
Rip was a late bloomer. Trendy isn't!

I like Ripley's croup a tad more but Trendy's is acceptable. Overall though she is an improvement on mom. Ripley's nice topline and rear and great drive with now more bone, better front, and better head.

Ripley after puppies in Feb. Not her best stack pic either. She hasn't had her first heat since puppies here (and she's really matured after puppies) but her first heat after puppies has made her look even better so hopefully we have an update pic soon. Hormones are amazing for development...

Somehow I still don’t understand what is “good” vs “bad” when it comes to this 🤣.

Haha! Read and reread the standard over and over until you go cross eyed 😂. That should help. 😂 Compare the standard to photos of dogs, live dogs. Trendy's isn't bad, it's acceptable but maybe a hair more angle than I'd like by 5 degrees. But she will likely lose angle as she ages so that very well may be perfect once she's mature!

Hindquarters
The angulation of the hindquarters balances that of the forequarters. Hip Bone- falls away from spinal column at an angle of about 30 degrees, producing a slightly rounded, well filled-out croup. Upper Shanks- at right angles to the hip bones, are long, wide, and well muscled on both sides of thigh, with clearly defined stifles. Upper and lower shanks are of equal length. While the dog is at rest, hock to heel is perpendicular to the ground. Viewed from the rear, the legs are straight, parallel to each other, and wide enough apart to fit in with a properly built body. Dewclaws, if any, are generally removed. Cat feet- as on front legs, turning neither in nor out.

Is she showing again soon?
This weekend 🤞 Two days. Majors.🤞
