I fully understand. It was hard watching Bogie lose his muscle mass and being able to see his spine.I know. But when I see those hip bones![]()

That's kind of what we're going through with Zeus. He's on free choice hay + I upped his grain and eating well but he's lost sooo much muscle mass.I can't stand a fat animal. But when they get too thin it makes me panicky. Only because I know how hard it is to get someone or an animal to eat when they don't want to. It seems so easy when you're healthy.
I give him a little extra during the day trying to add a little at a time. He still loves to go out for our walks and still follows me from room to room all day. He's still navigating the back stairs fairly well but I also let him out the front door at times since it's ground level. Especially when he needs to go out in the middle of the night. It's just easier for him. And I always put a lighted collar on him. So we just continue on with what we're doing and hope for the best.
