Another vet visit with not so great news.

I fully understand. It was hard watching Bogie lose his muscle mass and being able to see his spine.
No matter what anyone says it worries and saddens us to see it.

Give Buddy lots of love and hugs from me. I would gladly be his leaning post.

I can't stand a fat animal. But when they get too thin it makes me panicky. Only because I know how hard it is to get someone or an animal to eat when they don't want to. It seems so easy when you're healthy.

That's kind of what we're going through with Zeus. He's on free choice hay + I upped his grain and eating well but he's lost sooo much muscle mass.

I'm glad Bud's eating some and our dogs go wild for the Fresh Pet rolls too so that was a good choice to add.

Its good that Buddy has lost most off the fluid retention, and even if full apatite not back he is eating, so you can't do much more than you are doing, hope your weather was better and not to much damage also you could get out with Buddy and Kali for a while.

Last night was the first night that he really ate with gusto and finished quickly! Let him out at 10 last night and he did wake me up around 12:30. But then was fine the rest of the night. Went for a walk this morning after feeding the horses and going for another one right now. It's 50° and mostly sunny!

Thats really good to hear you must be pleased to see him really enjoy his food, hope it continues, glad your weather has improved its nice to be able to walk without getting soaked or frozen.

Hope Buddy’s doing ok? I’ve been CRAZY busy at work these last few weeks and been unable to get online much. He’s been at the forefront of my mind.

So sorry! I've been super busy.....

Buddy has been doing pretty good. He is eating much better with the raw and Freshpet and such added to his kibble. I swear he's a sneak when it comes to seeing a BM! I have been watching to see how he's doing in that department and haven't caught him in days! He's still looking too thin to me. I give him a little extra during the day trying to add a little at a time. He still loves to go out for our walks and still follows me from room to room all day. He's still navigating the back stairs fairly well but I also let him out the front door at times since it's ground level. Especially when he needs to go out in the middle of the night. It's just easier for him. And I always put a lighted collar on him. So we just continue on with what we're doing and hope for the best.

Kali is way faster than he is now. He
still wants to play with her but can't keep up.

Really good to see Buddy wanting to be out and playing with Kali , glad to hear he is eating better and good idea to give him a bit extra its not going to hurt him, he looks pretty good in the video nice to see, has his mouth fully healed and has his heart medication been increased or changed.

His mouth is not fully healed but not getting worse. Meds are still the same. And we have a BM! lol Well, I finally caught it and it's soft serve but not diarrhea.

I think dear old Buddy is looking pretty good all things considered. His zest for life is still there!

My Beautiful Boy is gone. I am inconsolable, my heart is in a million pieces and I feel like I was sucker punched in the stomach. I will need some time before I am able to do a memorial for my boy. Right now I just can't stop crying!
