Online source for Green Tripe?

It may be all about the same since ordering frozen goods online involves heavy weight + fast shipping. But I went to My Pet Carnivore to order Raw Green Tripe - the case of 12 (2-lb) containers was about $60, the shipping was $66.

Anyone have a better source? It is a 4 hour drive to the nearest large city, this tiny town and all the tiny towns around only have people grade tripe, bleached etc. which I'm told is void of all the good reasons to feed the stinky stuff to dogs.

Hope you get some input on stockists as I’m unable to help in that department. I’m extremely lucky, I can purchase untreated raw green tripe, locally. (Nutriment, The Dogs Butcher & Paleo Ridge)
I’ve heard that supermarket tripe is intended for human consumption, too. Heavily treated by being bleached and boiled until all the nutrients have been removed. Whereas untreated tripe is just rinsed in cold water.

I think online will be expensive almost anywhere. The shipping alone will cost a lot. Plus the demand lets them charge higher prices and get away with it. Do you have any local butchers or farms you could reach out to?

shipping will be about 47 dollars including packaging. Solid product and they source from local farms. They are about 10 minutes from me and I get all my tripe from them. You can also see their facility and processing if you google “dirty jobs green tripe hollister”

Thanks for your input, I will look into greentripe.com and raw feeding Miami. I've searched around locally to no avail. Plenty of people-grade tripe, cleaned and bleached, but no raw green. I don't have a problem with the prices online or the quality, just trying to find a source where the shipping doesn't overwhelm the goods. Thanks guys! It's a start.

If price isn't a consideration, why not go with a premade option. I feed premade raw for his regular diet, and they have a tripe option too. Open the bag and the smell hits you like a ton of bricks - lesson here - make someone else open the bag for thawing

Unfortunately price is a consideration. The stuff is not terribly expensive, but the shipping doubles the price to about $5 a pound, which to me IS a lot to pay. What brand of Pre-Made do you use?

If you don't find any at a reasonable price, I wouldn't worry too much. A study says green tripe isn't what we thought it was.

Oh I get it. Just trying to point out it's not the super food we once thought. I do feed it because we raise our own meat so I have easy access, not sure I would go to much trouble or expense if I didn't.

I use Carnivora, which might be limited to Canada, but I've also tried Primal and loved it. I would check whatever premade brands are available.
