She's looking really good! They don't stay little pups for long do they. Is she as regal and well behaved as she looks in these photos, or has she got a bit of the sparky side to her? I envy people who have easygoing biddable youngsters but it is more usual to have the supercharged type it seems. :)

Thank you.
She is Am x EU cross and is highly active, intelligent & scent driven.
I would describe her in one word as intense.
Intensely smart, energetic, loving & loyal.
Training and exercise is the key to keeping all of that intensity focused & her low key.

Luckily I am retired and can keep her mind engaged and see she gets the exercise she needs.
Training starts when I let her out of her crate in the morning and ends when she goes back in for the night.
Between training, 2 trips to the park to socialize & play chuck it each day and playing with toys at home.
I keep her busy. She's really easy to live with as long as she gets the proper amount of physical and mental exercise.
If not crazy puppy!

cheers

I see this now in the Puppy section, just asked about Maja in your Intro thread a few moments ago. She's looking great - curious how her training is coming along. Mine is extremely scent driven, I'll be doing nose work with her for sure, plus looking forward to taking her to a Schutzhund Club in the spring.

Her training is coming along nicely.
Crate trained and house broken. She rides nicely in the car.
Sit ,down , stay is either verbal or by hand command.
Leave it & take it, stand, wait and load all verbal still.
Recall is excellent and reliable when off leash & when playing "chuck it" at the park.

Only things we are working on is not getting too excited when meeting new people or dogs. And working on a nice heal on a lose leash. ( she is still a puppy after all!) and only finished up all of her vaccines 3 weeks ago so new people, places and things are still real exciting!!!

I plan to do obedience. With the hopes to put a CGC, UCGC ,CD, CDX & maybe a UD if she continues to exhibit the nose for it..
After that my wife wants to do the fun stuff rally, flyable, agility & maybe "Fast Cat".

Don't know if we are hard core enough to do Schutzhund or if I even want to go that direction.
We will see. The local Schutzhund people are pretty german shepherd oriented. (Dare I say a bit breed snobby?)
All though since her dam has a IPO1 they may welcome her into the club if she tests well.

Right now we are concentrating on training her to be the kind of dog thats a pleasure to be around.

Cheers

Great plans! Do keep us posted on progress and show off your ribbons. We love to watch, and there's a lot of folks with new puppies, so it gives us incentive!

Thought I would share some new photos of Maja @ 7 months & 58 pounds.

Nose in the wind as usual she is the most scent driven doberman I have ever known.
I can't wait to start nose work with her!
Cheers

She's really really nice. I think I contacted your breeder when I was looking for a puppy but got no reply back...maybe they were all spoken for, but who knows... up in the Northwest area, right?
The one I have, now 5 months, is very much scent driven - already playing with track scent pads and containers with food. She loves it. You can't start too soon!
